I absolutely love the previous series of DSOTR but outside of Pillman, this series has been really disappointing

I absolutely love the previous series of DSOTR but outside of Pillman, this series has been really disappointing I dont feel like they've been "dark" enough really. Like the early ones were about Owens death, Von Erich curse, Snuka, Bravo, Brody etc....The Pillman was good. The Smith family was pretty good...The nick gage one was stupid Collision in Korea could have just been a Youtube documentary. There only looks to be 2-3 more decent ones left...everything else feels like a reach to find something "dark"

wrapping up the grizzly smith episode...not too much that hadn't been out there before.
Cornette is full of it denying his and other's awareness.

It’s weird with all those old timers, they all “heard” about it but unless they saw it nobody ever did anything. But even then the boys handled it themselves and you heard of people beating guys up etc but no one ever went to the authorities.

they did an okay job on dynamite. I'm not doubting his wife not seeing Tommy be sadistic before his injury, but he 100% was and was known for it way back to his stampede days. the documentary skipped over his relationship with jr foley. which may have been for the best, but that's what really spells out how nuts and damaged DK really was.

Dynamite Kid couldve been an inspirational story, but turned out to be a real tragic one. I had no idea his sister was Bret Hart's ex-wife.

I think they painted Dynamite as a somewhat sympathetic character.
It is kind of tragic that plenty of worse human beings (IE Snuka) haven't had their legacies erased the way Dynamite has.

Because they didn’t even come close to touching on some of the darker stories about dynamite for some reason. Look them up, he was a sociopath. I think sometimes to get the family to cooperate they have to paint things in a certain light, omit certain things.

Yeah that dude was a piece of sh*t. To hell with his legacy and all the others who were just garbage human beings. I love pro wrestling but being good at it shouldn’t give anyone a pass.

Just saw this ad earlier while watching some intervention from the dvr. I’m ready for more DSOTR. I’m interested in fmw, luna, and xpw episodes most. I’ll be watching all though. I don’t know anything about Johnny K-9

DSOTR is back tonight, but Plane Ride from Hell seems to be a weak topic to kick off the new season.
