My DVD recorder died back in late 2019. It totally sucked when it happened.

And I recorded quite a bit on it for myself and my in-laws over the years. Lots of movies and tv shows and updating tapes to discs. lol

I remember when I got a VCR/DVD recorder combo in early 2007. I spent the next like...three weeks converting every tape I had to DVD. As you said, total pain in the ass but absolutely worth it when everything was done. I still have my VCR/DVD player/recorder and I wish I had used it to convert my VHS tapes to DVD instead of throwing out all the cassettes I got a ton out of my recorder bought in ‘06 and died probably about ‘13. My only annoyance was that some VHS tapes refused to be copied. My only master tape that got ruined was SummerSlam ‘98. About 20 minutes into converting it stopped and said it was protected from being copied. Unfortunately the VHS blurs now because of some kind of macro vision protection.

Thanks for the insight lads!! I knew this would be a decent topic.
As for Savage in 1993 I have said here MANY times that a heel turn as an anti NG guy would have been great(savage was a better heel)...hell put him & Lawler together. Dynamite....as you say Brain? he had plenty left.
Also? Randy wasn't one of those physiques that needed taking off TV. Vince just didnt wanna use the guy. I often laugh at Thompson & Prichard contradicting themselves over this...its so common with them.
CT: Bruce why didn't Vince use Randy in 1993/94?
BP: It wasnt Vince...Randy wanted time off away from travelling etc. He loved the booth and the reduction in schedule.
CT: Bruce why didn't Vince use Randy in 1993/94?
BP: He just had no plans for him...Randy wanted to be wrestling and there was a lot of times he just wasnt happy in that booth yknow? He didn't wanna be there he wanted to be where the action was. Worked a couple of house show programmes with Shawn & other guys then was disappointed when they didn't make it to TV. He was disappointed when Vince told him it was the booth and thats that.
CT: Bruce why didn't Vince use Randy in 1993/94?
BP: Vince had told Randy he was going with the youth movement & Randy was fine with it. He basically gave him and Flair the same speech about the direction of the company etc and what he had in mind for them. Ric took him up on his offer to return home but Randy was excited about this phase of his career
LMFAO

not sure why, but man was i bummed when they cancelled it! was my fav show ever! still need the tv guide ad from the feb 1992 episode if anyone has it! Not sure why? A guy just posted the November 1992 show was 86th place for the week it aired among 92 prime time shows. The ratings sucked, people.

Maybe networks weren't interested in it anymore?

I remember in 1991 there was only one SNME show and that was in April of 1991. They had a Main Event show in February of 1991 as well.
I think like most said, Monday Night Raw was a huge key factor. Having a show air every Monday at 9 pm was better than once every few months at 11:30 pm.
I also think back in the 80s, wrestling was so cool that people legit wanted to stay home on a Saturday night to watch Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, JYD, Paul Orndorff and others.
