Lets discuss the Jon Moxley chase in all its glory, first off them being found in the first shipments to Walmart immediately this time around. Do you feel there is more Moxleys than MJFs in circulation? Theres a few things to stir up the pot a bit to start. Secured the final piece to my Series 1 and Series 2 collection, so it is now complete. This one hurt the most of every figure in the Unrivaled line. I had to resort to not only Ebay, but on Ebay desperate to secure a Mox. My story starts about 3 days after the Series 2 shipments started to hit Walmart. I secured all of Series 1 already, and had the base 6 of series 2 and 3 already as well so I honestly had the AEW line out of my head at the moment. A buddy hits me up on that 3rd day and said hey man you been hunting lately? I havent, and thats where I messed up. I didnt know that Series 2 would be worst than series 1 with people now hip to BRICKSEEK on a whole other level. These things would be gone within minutes of it being in stock on brickseek. He and another person both snagged chase Mox in seperate Walmarts so it seemed they were in the first cases that arrived. After that I started to track brickseek and as stated above, within minutes they were gone, out of stock, unless someone snagged a chase then it would be 4-5 I believe]. I resorted to driving 100s of miles into the mountains where it would just start snowing [Im a city boy] to find a few fresh cases with NO chases. I even went into the back of a stockroom to look but it was actually ON the truck and they werent lying for once lol. [I checked back the next morning and brickseek said 4-5 or 5-6 meaning someone snagged the chase, I was sick. I ended up driving to multiple states, hundreds of miles for nothing. All in all, I gave up and offered a pretty penny to about 46 people on ebay [yes 46!] for a chase Mox. I ended up getting one there, and its been about a week and brickseek has had 1 case in the whole state since. So idk if I made a good choice or not, but I can sleep at night now knowing I did what I came into the game in August to do and that was have a full Series 1, and now extended to Series 2. It was a tough fight and I feel accomplished regardless of having to give in to the darkside, ebay. In conclusion, Jeremys marketing worked 1000% on me.Im a novice collector who started with this line as his entry into figure collecting with no idea of chases etc, and now I have 3 box errors for this line. lolResell market on niche products are everywhere now, so its smart the way hes positioned this line from the jump. I am happy he put the chases in the first cases to arrive, so that the die hard people would be the ones who get them first. Then the scalpers would get the rest of course, but at least it gives a chance to the real hunters who hunt to hunt.

I'm there with ya just snagged mox and mjf chases over the past 2 weeks. Only missing cody rare but no way I'm paying what that goes for if more don't show up
Woah I just read ur full post. Haha shame on me for not doing it before replying. So u went through a stockroom to search and drove hundreds of miles?? That's devotion but a level I can't relate too. Just wait for the online prices to drop to semi reasonable levels then hope for some luck.

Yeah the resell on it is crazy, I dont blame you. It sucks though because at least for me, not having the figure is one thing, but that stupid little number on the side of the box haunts me, so I had to pull the trigger. lol

Holup...you went into the back to look?
If they keep this chase game running throughout, this line is gonna beat the living bag out of you.

I want to open this up for discussion - there have been a few threads popping up discussing chase figures. Would people prefer to have individual threads for to discuss, or a more single chase figure discussion thread that we can sticky and keep rolling discussion?

Holup... you went into the back to look? If they keep this chase game running throughout, this line is gonna beat the living bag out of you. LOL I did kinda pass over that like it was nothing didnt I. So yeah nobody would help so I took a look and said it, went in the back, there was people unloading the truck and 3 people standing and talking. I walked about 10 feett away from the group of 3 to where the toy pallet was, went through it for a good 5-7 minutes and didnt find the AEW figs. Finally a guy comes to me and goes "Do you work here?" I said no, and started walking with him to the main area past the forbidden doors, immediately then the 3 people who were oblivious came to us and one of them was the manager of the back and said "you cant come back here" blah blah, I just said "oh I didnt know that" lol She then confirmed it was actually still ON the truck and that I had to come back later or tomorrow morning. You know the story with when they tell you that... It definitely had the adrenaline pumping, I then drove another 100 miles to 2 small town walmarts where I found cases but no chases. It was a crazy day for sure, fun too even. LOL Just wish I would have scored the chase for the time and effort put in. And yes it did beat me down, so bad I went to ebay. I couldnt take anymore of those all night adventures.

That's all sorts of weird and intrusive.

Sucks I wasnt an hour late because it would have been off the truck and I'm 99% sure it was a chase since brickseek said only 1 was taken 730am the next morning.

Yeah I wont be doing that again, it was an impulse move for sure since I was so far out and knew I wouldnt drive that again in the morning. It was a hail mary that failed lol No harm done, but I would not advise anyone do that either. As a rookie, I have to learn somewhere, and now I adapted on how I go out to hunt. I'm not gonna go on a whim if its in stock, I will wait and if its in stock overnight I will go in the morning when they first open because thats when they have the pallets out. Game/Game I've honestly got to ask how old you are, because honestly? Waltzing into the backroom of a Wal-Mart or a Target or whatever isn't a mistake one learns to not make as a rookie collector - it's the type of thing you learn when you're like, six. This honestly borders on levels of weird I thought only reachable by the sort of guy who would follow someone through Target and then DM them about it on here later, detailing their every step through the store. That's enough collecting for the day.

There’s a chase Moxley on eBay with Canadian bilingual packaging, haven’t seen that before. How do they decide how many to make in international packaging?

I am going to keep my comments to myself about the “back room” story. But how do you even know it was a chase that was purchased the next day? They aren’t in every case. Maybe someone just bought the figure they still needed or only wanted from the set. I know I have purchased just one figure from an assortment many times because it was the only one I wanted or needed from a set.
Even if there was a chase in the set they could have passed on it. I really don’t want ether of the series 3 or series 2 chase figures. If I were to get the Moxley chase it would have been for the Inner Circle shirt. But seeing I have the regular version I am not spending $20 just for a shirt. I left many of Mattel’s 1/1000 belt figures on the pegs back in 2010 because I didn’t want the wrestler it was with.

I found a fresh case at Walmart in Canada today just outside of Toronto and got lucky with a Moxley Chase. I've seen quite a few people finding them in Calgary area as well out west but have not seen any MJF chases north of the border so far from postings FB groups etc.

I wasn’t actually sure, but the next morning once they opened around 710am, 1 was figure was gone, so if anyone went to Walmart before they opened for 1 fig out of the set, maybe. Or since I live in NYNJ, people are broke and will flip anything including toilet paper during a pandemic. Idk if I mentioned it but a Walmart worker had no idea about AEW series 1, came back series 2 and he hunted 2 Chase Moxleys just because he knew the worth of it and could flip it. I had to buy both chases for series 2 on the bay because of it. I would hope a real fan woke up early for a reg jon moxley and got what he wanted for $20.
