ing cancer. Dustin Diamond is dead at the age of 44, after battling stage 4 cancer. The Saved By The Bell star's death comes as a tragic shock within two weeks of the initial announcement that he'd been hospitalized from complications suspect to be caused by cancer. Days after news of the hospitalization, Diamond's team confirmed that indeed he had cancer; about a week later it was reported that he had stage IV small-cell Carcinoma. Even though Diamond was in for a serious fight, he was reportedly "looking forward to spending more time with his girlfriend, playing his bass guitar and video games, as well as making videos for his fans on social media." comicbook.com/irl/news/dustin-diamond-dead-dies-44-cancer-obituary-saved-by-bell/?fbclid=IwAR3SVLU7h-V6kqWbAZqnZUXp0QQYvo6x4rsHkBDF4hkALvn-LMhcaRwqfnk

I saw a report a while back and that said he wasn’t doing well. This sucks. SBTB was one of the shows I watched every morning before school growing up

RIP screech.
SBTB was a childhood favorite. I was hopeful that he would be okay, and get a chance to make an appearance on the new one at some point.

Years ago there was a diner in my town that hired him to do stand up comedy. I never went when he was there. That diner was struggling at the time and went out of business shortly thereafter.
Also Dustin Diamond unsuccessfully tried to sue Max Goldberg the creator of YTMND over his first website dustindiamond.com which was a parody of Dustin Diamond. The site is still there.

Not real surprised, as he just had the cancer diagnosis, but I'm surprised it happened so soon.

Save By the Bell was a classic, kind of the first of that kids/teen drama/comedy. He was perfect for that role. RIP.

I was a fan of his and Tiffani Thiessen. Not so much the other 4 especially Mark Paul. Dustin was a wrestling fan and appeared on Hogan’s celebrity wrestling. Unlike in other reality shows, he behaved himself there because he respected the business.
RIP Dustin Diamond

I know he didn't always comport himself correctly, but he was a cherished part of many of our childhoods and will be missed. Screech, the character, was a hopeful representation of us geeks, and he played it swimingly.
RIP Dustin Diamond.

Very sad.
Screech made him, and he made Screech. But sadly, he was typecast into the "lovable awkward nerd" that he couldn't shake.
I'm glad he isn't suffering anymore. 44 is way too young, and cancer is an awful way to die.
Long live the memory of the King of the Geeks.

RIP.
Big fan of the show growing up and wish he could have made amends with the other cast members.
