Hello! Acetone will remove all the paint. So, if the base plastic is skin tone (whatever skin tone it may be) you’ll be fine to use acetone to remove the splotch. If the base plastic is cast in a different color with skin tone painted on top, you’d remove all of the paint and be left with just the base plastic color if you use acetone.

Everything freaqualizer said is correct. However, I'd recommend using clear nail polish. More of a preference than anything, but I feel it rarely if ever affects the plastic whereas the acetone has that possibility from my past experiences.
