1992 - Piper. As the popular veteran who had never won a title despite being a big name, I really hoped they were going to crown him a double champ that night. Not sure what direction they could or would have gone down, but I would have really marked out. British Bulldog was only my second choice. 1993 - Mr Perfect. Was always a fan and was hoping that being a face would make him a genuine headliner, although in hindsight I would have preferred Savage to win so that he would have given Bret the rub at Mania 9. 1994 - Luger. I just thought it was logical for him to win the WWF title at Wrestlemania, since it appeared to me that SummerSlam must not have been a big enough stage for the title change. However, when it played out I was hoping that Luger would beat Yoko and face Bret in the main event to both avoid a repeat of the previous years main event and also to give us Bret vs Lex one on one in a high stakes match. (They could even repeat all the balloons and celebrating wrestlers for Luger again but with real meaning) 1995 - British Bulldog. It made it worse by how close he was to winning. Really hated Shawn Michaels back then and really hated how he won. They certainly played me as a fan as it drew mega heat from me!! these were my pics as well! i know, how historic it would have been for piper to win both belts in one night. coulda had flair beat him for it on snme or something a month later. but man woulda been SOOOO awesome! piper coulda been knocked out of the ring maybe and right after the whole scene with flair/hulk/sid, flair thinks he won ionly to turn around and see piper still there. then takes and ass kickin and tossed out. piper is now wwf champ! YEAH!

1990 - Perfect or Rude would have been great, but I wouldn’t have minded seeing Earthquake get the win as well. He was around and would have been a great vehicle to really push him, leading up to his Hogan feud that summer.

I always kind of just wanted randomness with the Rumble. Hate they always telegraph 1 or 2 guys. Its throwing guys over the top rope for crying out loud.

Bryan in 2014 (and if not then 2015) is the obvious choice for me. I always thought Punk should have won in 2011, Del Rio was an awful choice. 2010 timeline — Orton wins title from Sheamus at Summerslam, Barrett wins title from Orton at SVS with Cena’s forced help. Cena escapes Nexus and wins title from Barrett at Rumble. Punk vs. Cena main event Mania 27 for the WWE Title, throw in Rock if you need to but he was needed more so because Miz had no star power. Styles should have won this year. I wouldn’t have wasted Styles/McIntyre at TLC and saved it for Mania. Or Styles vs. someone at Mania. Drews face schtick is starting to wear on me. He’s becoming more generic babyface and less badass as the days go on. I found myself excited to see Sheamus of all people kick him in the head the other week. Agree with all of this. Chris Jericho in 2012, as others have said, would have been a nice accolade for him. I definitely think they could have had AJ Styles win it the year he debuted, it would have made him a huge babyface star to even those who weren't familiar with him at the time, to have him not only a surprise entrant, but to go on and win it and Main Event Wrestlemania. But Roman, again. I also think they should have had Undertaker return and win it in 2006. Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton could quite easily have just been a normal match on the Wrestlemania 22 card, and you could have then had Kurt Angle vs Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship, with Undertaker winning his for World Title in a long time that year rather than at the following year at Wrestlemania 23. Or, you could even have flipped the scenario and had Kurt Angle, as peak Wrestling Machine, win the Rumble, and challenge Undertaker (who beat Mark Henry for the Title at the Rumble) at Wrestlemania 22, and then you'd still be able to stick to Undertaker winning it and challenging Batista the following year without having a repeat. It definitely made more sense to have Kurt Angle vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania 22 for the Title, especially as the year prior Angle had had the classic with Shawn Michaels. Peak Wrestling Machine Kurt Angle with Rumble winning momentem gunning for the World Title, vs Undertaker's Streak, would have been huge. Kurt Angle vs Triple H should then have followed at '23.

CM Punk in 2011, him facing Edge would have been better than Del Rio.
Chris Jericho 2012, one of the hottest superstars in WWE at the time and he lost it once Sheamus won the RR.

2002: Kurt Angle - everyone and their mothers knew that HHH was winning, so why not shock us with a Kurt victory. He could have cheated to eliminate HHH last, then they fight at No Way Out for the #1 contender ship and HHH wins there.
2011: Christian - he may not have been medically cleared until the following month (not 100% sure), but this could have been the start to an Edge/Christian feud for the WHC at WM27 (either man could have played the face or heel here and it would have been great).
2012: Chris Jericho - the crowd was fully behind a Y2J win here and would have added more to his feud with Punk.
2014: Daniel Bryan - obvious reasons
2016: Dean Ambrose - the most over guy in the company by a long-mile at this point. The crowd was going crazy when they teased him possibly winning before HHH eliminated him. This could have been the build to a Roman/Dean match at WM32.
