Episode 1 (February 2010): Darren Young (WIN/1-0) & CM Punk def. Daniel Bryan (LOSS/0-1) & The Miz (Young pins Bryan) Heath Slater (1-0) def. David Otunga (0-1)
Main Event: Chris Jericho (1-0) def. Skip Sheffield (0-1) I honestly would have opened the show with a Wade Barrett match, but he can't face his own pro, so Sheffield took this one.
Skip Sheffield was certainly put to the test during his first night in front of the WWE Universe. The NXT Rookie faced the new World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho on the inaugural episode of Syfy's new Tuesday night show. With his NXT Rookie, British bare-knuckle fighter Wade Barrett, in his corner, Jericho was victorious when Sheffield tapped out to the Walls of Jericho

That tag team match never took place on NXT or ever. If they really wanted The Miz/Daniel Bryan rivalry they could have had them start as a dysfunctional tag team, but that also would have been a huge win for Darren Young. They also had the pros basically take a backseat, so this was far more about Young & Bryan, but Bryan never had a chance at winning this since there is no way Miz would have formed a tag team with him without being forced to.

Episode 2 (March 2, 2010): Heath Slater (2-0) def. David Otunga (0-2)
In an obvious return bout from the first show, I would have booked Slater to be dominant proving his first win wasn’t a fluke. The first show ended this small rivalry with a win for each, which was nice of them, but it felt like it was just pointless matches. Here Slater looks really good, unfortunately at the expense of Otunga but hopefully there will be opportunity to do more with him later.
Justin Gabriel (1-0) def. Daniel Bryan (0-2)
I don’t really want to keep Bryan where he’s at, but it doesn’t really make sense to change it. Gabriel being so good and so favored that he wasn’t even booked in the first show, even I didn’t feel the need to book him. So Gabriel still looks impressive in his NXT debut, while Bryan goes 0-2. However, just like in his real life counterpart, Bryan has had 2 tough opponents and held his own.
Main Event: Chris Jericho (WIN/2-0)/Wade Barrett def. Michael Tarver (LOSS/0-1)/Carlito
It’s all of their debuts on NXT, except Jericho who Main Events for the 2nd week in a row. Jericho is going to be my resident rookie killer this season. Whenever he steps in there it’s to beat down a rookie, and you see it here. These rookies are going to have to work if they want to pin a World Heavyweight Champion. Tarver goes for a right hook, misses and gets creamed with the Codebreaker. Furthermore, whenever Jericho teams with Barrett he’s going to insist that he pins the opponent.

Episode 3 (March 9, 2010): Darren Young (WIN)/CM Punk def. Carlito (LOSS)/Michael Tarver
I have Darren Young as the first Rookie to pin a pro in a tag team match. In real life this match is used to further The Miz/Bryan split, but I’m going to use it to solidify Punk and Young as a team. I’m going the opposite direction. Punk hits the GTS and gives Young the accolade of pinning a pro.
Skip Sheffield def. Matt Hardy
I was extremely tempted to put Christian in here, but it just made too much sense to continue the tag match from last week with a singles pro vs rookie match here.
Main Event: Heath Slater def. Wade Barrett
These are the only two rookies left who have a winning record, so the main event was to see which one of them would take the first loss, and it was also to put Slater officially on a winning streak. Can he be stopped? And, if so, when?

Episode 4 (March 16, 2010): Wade Barrett (WIN)/Chris Jericho def. CM Punk (LOSS)/Darren Young To continue the trend of rookies defeating pros, Jericho hit Punk with the codebreaker while the ref was distracted, allowing Barrett to score the win. I like the idea of Jericho helping Barrett in every possible way, so I am going to keep that.
The Great Khali def. David Otunga I also like the idea of an over-confident Otunga so (despite his record of not winning a match) he decided to challenge the biggest man he could find in Khali. Unsurprisingly, Otunga gets flattened and Khali looks good in his NXT debut.
Heath Slater def. Daniel Bryan Slater is the man to beat of the rookie pool, so Miz feels Bryan should be able to beat him, but Bryan disappoints yet again and falls short against the one man rock band. It isn't necessarily that I like The Miz berating Bryan, but the fact is a lot of the rookies start piling up the losses, so instead of focusing all of that only on Bryan, I say spread it around a bit.
Main Event: Justin Gabriel def. Skip Sheffield Gabriel wins here because his only other match was against the right now unstoppable Regal. Gabriel proves he can hold his own against the other rookies and stops Sheffield from gaining any momentum.

Episode 5 (March 23, 2010): Heath Slater (WIN)/Darren Young def. Michael Tarver (LOSS)/Wade Barrett Slater and Young have the most positive records, so naturally they team up here in the all tag team week. Barrett has a 2-1 record, and that one loss really costs him here. He has to team with Tarver who has lost all of his matches so far and tonight is no exception. Slater continues his streak to 5-0.
Main Event: Justin Gabriel (WIN)/Skip Sheffield def. David Otunga (LOSS)/Daniel Bryan The remaining rookies compete in the other tag match. Gabriel & Sheffield are both 1-1 here making them the logical choice to compete against the team that does not have a single win between them.

Episode 6 (March 30, 2010): The 1st pro poll: 8th: David Otunga (0-4) 7th: Michael Tarver (0-3) 6th: Daniel Bryan (0-2) 5th: Skip Sheffield (1-1) 4th: Justin Gabriel (2-1) 3rd: Wade Barrett (2-1) 2nd: Darren Young (2-0) 1st: Heath Slater (5-0)
Match 1: Wade Barrett (WIN)/R-Truth/CM Punk/William Regal def. Christian (LOSS)/The Miz/Carlito/Matt Hardy Just like on the show Jericho makes the smart move and swaps himself out for Barrett. I really liked this move and kept everything the same except it was not RAW vs Smackdown. I swapped Regal with Hardy. I separated them by their rookie standings for every 2 each side gets one member: Barrett's team gets 2, 3, 5, and 8 and Christian's team gets 1, 4, 6, and 7. Barrett: 3-1 Christian: 0-1
Main Event: Rookie Battle Royal 8th: Wade Barrett 3-2 7th: Daniel Bryan 0-3 6th: Skip Sheffield 1-2 5th: Michael Tarver 0-4 4th: Heath Slater 5-1 3rd: David Otunga 0-5 Runner-Up: Darren Young 2-1 Winner and Guest Host of Monday Night RAW: Justin Gabriel 3-1 Then all 7 rookies team up to eliminate Barrett, not because he has the best record but because of what he just did in the opening match. Bryan is eliminated by Darren Young with the help of Gallows who took out Bryan's legs when he landed on the apron. Otunga eliminated Sheffield by lifting him up and tossing him over the top with his modified spinebuster. Slater eliminates Tarver after a neckbreaker/clothesline combo. Young and Slater team up to dump Otunga out, and while their arguing with him Gabriel dumps them both out from behind.

Interesting concept; really like seeing this rebooking. It would be cool to see some more detail and story progression. Makes me forsure feel a little old; thinking the first NXT concept was 11 years ago. Also like what I see with Heath Slater leading. I use to be huge Heath Slater mark in 2010; lol.

I added some more detail and story progression at your advice. I hope it is what you meant and makes this a little bit more of an interesting read. Thank you for taking an interest in my work.

Episode 7 (April 6, 2010): Winner of the Keg Carrying Challenge: Justin Gabriel
Match 1: David Otunga (1-5) def. Heath Slater (5-2) This match was chosen as the #1 Ranked Rookie took on the #8 Ranked Rookie in one on one competition. Otunga walks away with a big win as he is the first person to defeat Slater in singles action.
Match 2: Darren Young (3-1) def. Daniel Bryan (0-4) This was another match where someone at the top of the ladder defeated someone at the bottom. Tarver was already 0-4 so it was time to give Bryan his 4th chance at a win.
Match 3: Wade Barrett (4-2) def. Skip Sheffield (1-3) Barrett is the only one whose record almost reflects that of his real-life counterpart, except he is losing even less. He faced Sheffield this week because Gabriel is already booked in the main event, and Sheffield has at least 1 win to his credit over Tarver, and Barrett needed something slightly more challenging after pinning a pro last week.
Main Event: Kane (1-0) def. Justin Gabriel (3-2) The winner of the Keg Carry earned the right to face Kane in tonight's main event and his NXT debut. It would be rather unrealistic for any of the rookies to actually beat Kane, but Gabriel puts up a good fight in only his second loss on NXT.

Episode 8 (April 13, 2010): Challenge Winner: Wade Barrett He wins it in real life and here. He was just that good.
Match 1: Carlito (1-1) def. Wade Barrett (4-3) Carlito avenges his team's loss 2 weeks ago, and his own loss against Darren Young by picking up his first NXT win against one of the tougher rookies.
Match 2: Matt Hardy (1-1) def. Michael Tarver (0-5) All of the rookies competed last week, except Tarver. Carlito just won and now he expects his rookie to do the same as Hardy was the first pro to be defeated by a rookie 1 on 1.
Main Event: Justin Gabriel (4-2) def. Luke Gallows (0-1) Gabriel puts away Gallows' in the latter's NXT debut. Gabriel continues his momentum by facing WWE pros in the main event, but this time he wins. Demonstrating his ability to keep up with the pros.

Episode 9 (April 20, 2010): Match 1: Darren Young (4-1) def. Justin Gabriel (4-3) Last week was a big win for Gabriel. But it was time for Darren Young to get his 4th win. This was their first one on one match in the history of NXT and it just made more sense to me to have Young go over. Young is the only rookie to continue to be undefeated in one on one competition.
Match 2: Wade Barrett (5-3) def. Daniel Bryan (0-5) and David Otunga The first triple threat match ends with a continuation of Bryan's losing streak. Only this time Miz unintentionally almost cost Barrett the match by tripping him up instead of Bryan, but Bryan took too long to capitalize, walked into a big boot, and was easy prey for Barrett's wasteland reversal.
Main Event: Heath Slater (6-2) def. Chris Jericho (1-1) This is a huge moment for Slater's career. You have to keep this match exactly as is.

Episode 10 (April 27, 2010): Winner of the challenge: Justin Gabriel (Gabriel chooses to face R-Truth next week because R-Truth still has not debuted on NXT) Match 1: Chris Jericho (WIN) (2-1)/Wade Barrett def. Heath Slater (LOSS) (6-3)/Christian This was done as revenge for last week's Main Event so I could not really change this.
Match 2: Darren Young (5-1) def. Michael Tarver (0-6). I like the idea of Gallows helping Young in a match after Young defeated him, makes it seem like more of a respect thing.
Main Event: David Otunga (2-5) def. Daniel Bryan (0-6) Otunga was supposed to take on CM Punk tonight, but Punk left after finding out Young wasn’t booked to compete tonight. Daniel Bryan volunteered to be the new opponent looking for his first win.

Episode 11 (May 4, 2010): Challenge Winner: Justin Gabriel (wins immunity from next week's elimination) Match 1: Michael Tarver (1-6) def. Daniel Bryan (0-7) They both get the chance to get the first victory on NXT. Tarver takes advantage of Bryan’s hurt condition and Bryan drops to the bottom of the heap.
Main Event: R-Truth (1-0) def. Justin Gabriel (4-4) Truth makes his NXT debut after being challenged by Gabriel last week. Gabriel gets a little more than he bargains for and gets overwhelmed.

Really been enjoying this; lot more fun of read! Like the edition of text and explanation; makes this quick; easy; and fun. The way this is written off; makes me a lot more invested then the real game show NXT. Some nostalgia; with a well written and less rushed touch to it.
