I posted this on another board but got no replies.
Something about the angle between these two I don't understand. I'm sure it was written by WWE and not something Bob suggested but it seems thrown together last minute.
Bob is looking for Vanna most of the show but towards the end during a Mean Gene interview Bob says he got a letter from someone named Vance White telling him to meet him there (which contradicts his Vince McMahon invited me commentary). Was Bob saying it was some relative of Vanna who wanted to help Bob meet her or was he Bob, in character totally confused and thus the whole gimmick was ruined by now saying it was a guy named Vance he was supposed to meet? It seems to me they didn't have a really good end game to this storyline since both would meet up anyway. Nothing epic about that, it's what they were paid to be there for. I'm sure Vanna was probably creeped out by it but this is Vince McMahon's company we are talking about...She would probably told about it last minute.
Also I think his call from Vince McMahon line was great. As a kid I didn't think it meant Vince was the owner, I thought it meant Vince was a lower level employee who made the calls asking celebrities to come because a guy like Jack Tunney was too busy.
