Hello all. First post on here. I know figures can only be made if WWE has deals with former wrestlers. Does anyone know if the Von Erichs are under a deal? If so does anyone think we will see another Texas tornado figure? Thanks guys!

I hope so! Thanks to a member on here I have The Von Erichs. I’d love another Texas Tornado though, as I’ve never owned that one.

I think the Mattel Texas tornado is terrible. It doesn't look like Kerry von erich at all. I think if I looked at the figure with no reference I would assume it was some random guy from early 90s wcw. He also reminded me of journeyman wrestler Chris walker.  If they get the rights again, a better Tornado figure would be much needed. A different color scheme, better executed tassels on the boots and a more accurate face and hair and the ic title. |

Steve said a while back that any new Von Erichs were very unlikely.
It's possible that they're no longer signed. But Kerry had some Topps cards last year, which go through the Legends program. I've wondered if he might be on the no-fly list for Mattel given how he died and Mattel's corporate values.

If they’re under a deal then they you can expect them in upcoming legends lineups. They’ve been giving us a lot of repaints and re-released in this line.

I think this is as simple as if Kerry was still under a Legends deal we would’ve seen another figure by now.

I must be in the minority -- but I think the Mattel Texas Tornado is pretty good (though NOTHING will ever touch that Hasbro...)

I love the Texas Tornado, and it's one of my fav Mattel figs so to each their own! The RR92 look would be my pick as well, I always liked that attire. Though, his red or blue or yellow or purple would all be welcome. And, even though the tights were plain looking, I would also like his Summer Slam 1990 look with the green entrance robe. |

If he's not under a deal, I'd be shocked if Jazwares wouldn't scoop him up. My biggest fear is that he's signed, but Mattel won't make him. It's been implied in the past that they wouldn't make people like Crash Holly and Brian Christopher who died by suicide.
