So I don't own any of them yet and I'm looking to pick up a NBA game. If you guys could give me some opinions on what game is the best overall one, that would be great. Thanks.

DO NOT GO WITH LIVE.
GET 2K8 for sure. By far the best and most fun basketball sim.
I cannot stress how much more realistic 2K8 is compared to live.

Off the bat, rule out NBA 08. I would honestly go with NBA Live 08. This year NBA Live 08 is honestly better than 2K8. Live 08 was a joke last year, but it vastly improved this year. If you still only have a PS2, then get 2K8 since Live 08 still sucks for PS2. But if you have PS3, get Live.

I know it is tough to choose with 3 choices this year but most people will go with 2k8. I bought 2k8 on 360. I read about all 3 games and all 5 different versions(2k8 360,PS3 Live 08 360,PS3 NBA 08 PS3) and made my choice.
