I don't get why RSC should have to take the hit for something out of their control.
They initially notified us that it was delayed. They have customer service reps that answer emails and I believe phone calls too so I also don't get the concern for people that aren't on this forum - they can pick up a phone or shoot them an email if they are confused or check their order history and they will see that it hasn't shipped yet.
Most stores only give you a discount or coupon for issues that they messed up on and they are usually on future purchases. For example, Urban Outfitters (which never delivers preorders on time) offered a 15 percent discount since the vinyl record preorder was for a gold record, but the music label sent them clear records. Another time, after months of delay after delay emails, they notified me that they were cancelling a different record since they oversold and weren't getting enough stock to fulfill their orders. They gave me a $10 off my next purchase of $50 coupon. Both the discount and coupon excluded vinyl records which is the only thing that I buy from them.
I really don't have any personal examples of companies throwing away thousands of dollars due to an issue out of their control.
They aren't holding your money hostage - you can always cancel and get a refund.

Yes you’re still getting it but other places actually care about their customers and offer discounts when things like this happen. RSC can care less about us. Oh stop it! There is no one giving discounts out for this kinda things. Let’s go over all the companies just even in the toy world that have experienced delays, they aren’t giving anyone anything. NECA, Super7, the Lucha Libre figures, Funko, Entertainment Earth, Target, Walmart... I could go on and on. No one is getting any breaks. It’s really not a big deal. He works for RS lol.

its a wrestling figure. you paid for it, you're going to get it. whats the big deal?
its not like they put it up for sale and bots bought them all in 10 seconds, now they are going for $125 on ebay and you'll never find it.

Still worth it to preorder. If you’re upset over having to wait a couple extra weeks it’s still better than waiting for the next wave to ship in July.

Biggest pet peeve. If you're gonna throw an insult out there, make sure you use the proper diction. RSC COULDN'T care less about us. FTFY. I will say, however, that RSC needs to do a better job of communicating the issue. They've done a good job on this forum, but if you ordered the figure and you aren't on this forum, you have no clue what is going on. I feel a simple follow up email about the situation would suffice. Most collectors know never to expect something on the estimated date because all it is in an educated guess as to when they’ll be getting it. A lot of times it’s accurate but there’s plenty of times when it’s not. We don’t need constant updates as we’ve come to expect delays are a part of the hobby. For those who are impatient and aren’t in this forum then that is why RSC has an 800 number and an email address. WTF is up with people and the idea that asking for better communication means "constant" updates. You act like the last time they mentioned a delay to all the people who purchased the figure (not on a form a fraction of those people use) wasn't in FEBRUARY and it isn't almost a month past the deadline they gave 2 months ago. The delay is fine and understandable but they could at least send a follow up email after they've blown clean past the estimated arrival time. INB4 BuT yOu CoUlD cAlL aNd EmAiL tHeM yOuR sElf, the point is that people shouldn't have to dig to find out why their stuff hasn't arrived a month after the estimated shipping date. Asking for a company to better communicate these things isn't whining, it isn't complaining, it's expecting quality customer service from a company as large and well known as RSC.

I have figures that I have on preorder that we’re scheduled for early March that I still haven’t received. I also have yet to receive an email communicating the delay. The order says pending. I’m not mad about the delay I’m just bummed that they don’t let customers know what’s going on. Not to mention all the times I’ve got horribly damaged stuff and they never accept responsibility

While the delay is frustrating blaming ringside is just wrong because it’s out of their hands, every time I’ve ordered from ringside they always do their part and send the item out asap.
