Lucked out today and found an NHL 8 Ed Belfour. That may be nothing to some of you, but I never find the figures I want at sotres like Wal Mart so that I can get them at low prices.
I love how Wal Mart has a rule of two per customer on McFarlanes, NHL ones at least, that way the eBay whores can't buy all of the good figures for themselves, unless they come with one or two other people.
Now I'm on the hunt for the Nabokov, what series is that? And the NHL 1 Theodore. I saw it the other day but I didn't have $60.00 to spare.

You may be right. There was one in 93, and the Dream Team, but I guess I had quit buying them after that point anyway. Of course, he retired after the 93 season, and then came back in the very end of the year in 94-95. Basically making it impossible for them to make one for two years. If I recall now, he was no longer a part of the NBAPA, which probably kept them from using his likeness, and also kept him out of video games at the time. Oh well, that's what I get for trying to be smart. I only have all Charles Barkley and Atlanta Hawks, Braves, and Falcons SLU. Another thing I forgot was that series back in like 1999 or so... Maximum Air or something? They had SLU's of him in the Allstar uniforms, and such... |

Got my NHL 7 Giguere in the mail today from Blair, I love it!
I tracked down an NHL 3 Nabakov in West Edmonton Mall. It's in the store that I made the giant post about on page 23. It's $70.00 so I'm going to try and work the price down a bit, but I'll buy it either way.

I hit the motherload on variants today. MLB9... I seen almost everyone in their variants at Walmart/Toys R Us/Gamestop. Today's pickups:

its a perk of the job. geez Uhh...it's a perk of the job to deprive the loyal customers out of figures they've been wanting? Real perks of the job are getting paid, the atmosphere to work in, and good customers, not taking variants from kids. And if they want close to $15 for a regular, screw that. I'd hardly pay that much for a variation. |
