Snuka was a heel. When he started in the WWF he was a heel managed by Captain Lou(?) and then Buddy Rogers got into his ear saying Captain Lou was steeling from him. So he broke from Captain Lou who put a bounty on him. Which Rey the Crippler Stevens collected. Didn't know about that storyline, good stuff. Thank you for the info. Also, Snuka did go againts Backlund a number of times when Backlund was the WWF champion - Snuka being the heel. I have heard in shoot interviews from others that Snuka was traditionally a heel but he started to win over the New York crowd with his athleticism and in-ring work, I believe that was why they eventually changed him to baby face. I believe for a time, he was the most popular wrestler on the WWF roster, even over Backlund.

Raven was a babyface when he returned to ECW, after his run in WCW, and helped out Tommy Dreamer for a brief time. Earthquake was a good guy in 1992-1994 in the WWF, the Natural Disasters turned babyface around WrestleMania 8 when Jimmy Hart chose Money Inc over them. Earthquake remained a babyface for the rest of his WWF run, feuding with Yokozuna and Adam Bomb during that time. Really? Wow, it's hard to imagine him as a face. he was about to be one with his fued vs Vader. rude was the one getting cheered when he'd attack him. Was coming here to say Rude, I never remembered him ever being the good guy, I don't count his brief run in ECW since he was mainly an announcer. I do remember them setting up a feud with Rude and Vader in 1994 - before his injury - but I couldn't remember who was actually playing the babyface. Dino was a babyface in Montreal, in fact, he was the Hulk Hogan of that territory prior to his WWF run. Actually, even when the WWF would go to that territory, Bravo would get cheered even over WWF Babyfaces he was feuding with. I believe the Rougeau Brother's also would get cheered there, even though they were heels in the WWF at the time. He was originally a good guy with the Elvis gimmick. True, but technically the fans never treated him that way. For some weird reason Vince thought that Honky Tonk was destined to be a big star as a babyface.

Nord was baby in AWA,both OMG and Tully were baby very early in their careers,Allen had a run I believe as well in Stampede.Race I believe was baby in the 70s with the stuff he did with Terry but not 100%.

He was originally a good guy with the Elvis gimmick. I compare it to Angle. He was a character brought in knowing the crowd was gonna hate him. He may have appeared to be good but I don’t think there was ever any intentions of him being a face.

Ox Baker The Wild Samoans The Moondogs Abdullah the Butcher They were face when they feuded with Adonis/Murdoch IIRC I can't find any footage of Adonis & Murdoch winning the tag team titles. I did enjoy their run, though. Very oddly put-together team.

Its hard to say for a lot of the newer stars. So many of them work "tweener" gimmicks and feud with both faces & heels back and forth its hard to determine what they are. Like even as a Face, Randy Orton is always "heel" to me...He doesnt come out smiling, slapping hands and doing face like tendencies.
The first person that comes to mind is Vader. He was a heel his full stint in WCW but did tease a face turn when he was going to team with Hogan, yet never went full face. Then his run in WWF was pure heel until the very end where he would tween between heel & face. You could technically say he was the face in the feud with Kane but I believe he was still having matches with faces at the time too.
Not sure about his Japanese stints but unless he ran face in AWA, I dont recall a time where Vader was full on babyface.
