Went with the black trunks and yellow boots, mainly because that was his most iconic look from when I was watching and it goes with the Hasbro figure I have of his. But, both figures are great. We could definitely use a few more Valentines; Rhythm and Blues (either black and red look or blue and white look), red trunks and yellow boots, Dream Team (black trunks and black boots), and IC Champion (purple trunks and black boots with the I broke Wahoo's leg shirt).

99 out of 100 times I'd vote color over black, but I vote black here just because -- as mentioned -- it matches his Hasbro figure. Other guys like Sid, Lex Luger, Ric Flair that wore black and also wore colors are different: I'll take their colors.
EDIT: based on the survey results, it looks like Mattel did a good job offering both selections, though perhaps they could've made them equally accessible.

I only ever found one and it was the chase. I haven’t even opened it yet because I never cared much for Valentine. I may end up just getting rid of it at some point.
