Hopefully they already know it’s continuing with everything they are planning for.

Hopefully they already know it’s continuing with everything they are planning for. You have to keep planning ahead even if things are up in the air. But I'd be shocked if there was a change - I really can't see another another company putting up a better offer and if they lost WWE Mattel would be down to Jurassic Park as their only licensed action figure property.

Crap, I just realized that SS Hogan has the Les Gold head. I didn’t notice it until now, but damn that sucks. Hopefully at least the hair and mustache match for a change. They always do on the bald Hogans, but the 80s Hogans always have more of a brownish mustache.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how much longer Mattel has the WWE license until they have to sign a new agreement or lose the rights? The last license extension info I found with a quick search said through 2021. I believe AFA made reference in a recent post to some things not in the works for release until 2022... I’m not speaking from any place of authority, but I have to imagine if there isn’t an official extension already signed there will be since the WWE line is constantly a top 3 seller when those numbers come out each year.

Thoughts:
If the renders are anything to go by, they are finally giving Hogan his proper skintone. That should make people happy. Also, the injured eye on the Fan Takeover UE is a neat touch.
There is something exceedingly off about that SvS Bret.
I might need to try and score one of those fan takeover Jeffs. He’s pretty epic.
ECW Cactus is going on my Foley Shelf, no questions asked.
To the people who have been screaming for Retros, I’m so happy for all of you. They really did it. Color me shocked, but excited for those who’ve been waiting.
Making all the MOTWWEU figures flashbacks seems risky, but the right move to make. After all, the line is geared towards 80s toy collectors.
I’m a bit excited for that Kane. Not sure if I’ll pick him up or not, but I might.
That Surfer Rey is... why.
Dangit, Mattel, you’re really gonna make me buy a THIRD Drew McIntryre figure just to get my MNM Seth, aren’t you. I mean, I’m so stoked we’re getting him, and that’s just the way I wanted him, but I don’t want to buy yet another Drew to get him. Gonna have to see if I can pick that Seth up loose somewhere, although I fear that his loose prices will be almost the same or more as the 2 pack.
From Championship Showdown 5, I want the Mankind, the Bulldog, and the Chyna. I fear I will wind up buying all three 2 packs though. I had much higher hopes and expectations for the new Trish than that. Hopefully that’s just a crap render. Also, she has no neck.
The Rock and Sock 2-Pack is going to happen and may lead me to skip the Mankind from the 2-pack.
I didn’t think I was going to get the SS Mella, but now I want her.
Elite 87 looks STACKED. I’m definitely picking up Candice and Asuka. Plus, two new belts in that set. Amazing, simply amazing.
I’ve never been a big Bam Bam fan, but making his Legends figure an ECW one plus including the TV title makes me want to try and get one.
There’s something off about the Scott Hall, but neat that we’re getting the mic.
I lo-key want that Wrekkin Bendy Chair.
All in all, awesome stuff shown today. Far better than I was expecting. I’m genuinely pleased with almost everything I saw here, with a few exceptions (Trish being one of them). Plus, there’s a few reveals that have me completely stoked with a proper MNM Seth being one of them. Also, while I’m sad Carmella doesn’t come with her jacket, that’s a huge improvement over the basic I have and I must have it. Gonna display it with the ring attire though, the pants look weird without her jacket to match.
But yes, overall, very good! Great job Mattel!

If you put the Survivor Series Hogan head and shirt on the WM9 body you pretty much have an Ultimate Edition 1988-1992 Hogan, because that body is very much not accurate to WM9 at all, and idk if there are parts in the right skin color to make a proper ring gear 1993 Hogan as an elite or ultimate I will be using one of those to make the WM3 Hogan an ultimate as well I was thinking this, but the sweat bands on the wrists though it off. Depends on if there is wrist tape underneath.

Unless Hogan gets pinless arms you can swap the forearms if needed or wait for a Hogan with white wrist tape on double joint arms Edit: the Hollywood Hogan figure has white wrist tape just swap those arms on

I am so glad I do not really collect any more. Not because I live in the UK or because figures are so much harder to find these days. Because my wife would probably leave me, due to the amount of money I would spend. Some of these are just incredible! I have been holding out for a Bret for a while as none have really clicked with me, but that new one looks great

Count me in for that Kane, a nice surprise as it’s my favorite attire of his. Glad that FINALLY they are attempting a new masked scan. It’s a basic so can’t expect too much but here’s hoping they have another go at it soon as an elite. Here’s hoping they fix the gauntlet on this basic. No idea why it seems such a challenge for the glove, gauntlet and belt to all be correct on all these masked kanes when they have the parts.
Some of these like Hall and HHH are truly awful though. I find the variants getting less and less exciting as time goes by.

Sucks that the new Kane is basic but will grab it for that head alone.
Love both Hulks.
SS ‘96 Bret was on my wish list.
Foley, Ultimate Cena, and Ultimate Jeff all look good.
That SS’98 HHH looks off. Too blue and not enough purple. The red version looks great.
Sucks ‘99 Bulldog is a basic. Needs to be an elite.
Rock n Sock 2 pack looks great.

Wouldve happily bought another Big John Studd if he had red stars and a red & black robe like how he looked in the poster that came with the LJN figure.

I still don’t understand how things like Kane’s belt on the SS elite and his wrist gauntlet being plain black on this new basic even happen in the first place? It’s basic stuff, just some silver studs you can paint on Mattel, just bloody do it in the first place. Bizarre.
That said, looking forward to seeing the head scan and gauntlet aside am looking forward to adding him to the basic collection.

Personally I hope they stick with Mattel because I'm not a fan of Hasbro's current direction when it comes to the MOC product. Eliminating plastic windows from packaging is gonna be a nightmare.

I have said it before and i will say it again. Mattel makes great figures that you can never find in stores. Mattel refuses to accept the fact that its now 2021 and not 1985 anymore. McFarlane took over the DC license, who would have ever thought that could happen, but it did. So anything can happen, if mattel does lose the wwe license i hope hasbro gets it 1000%.

I know I am late to the party, but damn what a set of reveals! Here are my impressions: - That Survivor Series Hogan is a must-have. They nailed the expression on his face. Hopefully the figure lives up to the render.
- UE Hogan (WM9) is literally a recolored dupe of nWo Hogan, which was a dupe of a figure from 6 years ago lol. All of those Fan Takeover options for Hogan were bogus. Hopefully they remove that strange hair swirl again (like Hollywood UE).
- Mankind/Rock - Royal Rumble (track pants Rock) would have been a better pick. That 2011 "Barbie doll" edition could use an update...
- Scott Hall - love the hands, hate the face.
- Bret Hart - lol face.
- HHH - Like most of you, I'm color deficient, so I'm not squabbling over blue/purple. But it sure doesn't look metallic, which Steve admits unfortunately.
- Speaking of Steve, kudos to him for reviving the Retro and Legends lines.
- Bulldog/Bossman - ok. Bossman scan looks the same as his previous SWAT gear release.
- Mankind/Austin - kinda strange seeing both figures again, very repetitive.
- Savage - nice touch with the cream/hand, but repetitive. Good for those who missed out. Would love to see Macho King revisited.
Crap, I just realized that SS Hogan has the Les Gold head. I didn’t notice it until now, but damn that sucks. Hopefully at least the hair and mustache match for a change. They always do on the bald Hogans, but the 80s Hogans always have more of a brownish mustache. Not sure I follow - what do you mean by "Les Gold head"?

Also here's what I believe to be the source/reference for Survivor Series Hogan:
