I just want to know if keeping my figures on the wall around a window will be damaging. The window itself gets a lot of sun and heat, but the figures never get direct sunlight and probably only minimal heat. Nonetheless, i can probably move them if this could damage them. Thank you

Yes, whatever is in the path of the sunlight will fade and weather especially boxes

As stated the sunlight will fade the boxes... black out curtains or UV tinting on the windows will help. I’d also be nervous about lots of heat. Creating plastic is a chemical reaction, heat and hold could impact the plastic overtime. I assume the plastic is better these days, but if possible (and where possible) try and keep them in a place that has limited temperature ranges. Window tinting would help this, but would be expensive...

Um, I think I'd rather have natural sunlight in a room than action figures if I had to choose...

I worry about that a little bit with the figures I have near the sliding glass door of my apartment, but even when the weather is nice we don't open the blinds all too often. If I do I usually turn them so that the light is being directed away from my figures. I haven't noticed anything wrong with the figures, and I also switch around what I have displayed there with new ones over time. My friend has a bunch in his living room with the back of the boxes facing his window, and they are terribly faded. Kinda sucks, but I guess it's better than the front.

Get blackout curtains if you have to put them in that area Or you could do what I did....I’m also a Moc collector & I have a window in my collection room that has a blind that I keep closed....I actually have some of my figures hanging from the blind itself but even with it closed I noticed the backs of some of the boxes were starting to fade because of the sunlight & I can see the print of the blind in the back of the boxes.....so what I did was buy a couple sheets of poster board (I used white because it doesn’t make the room too dark during the day like black or another dark color would) & duct taped them over the window to block the sun, you can’t see it because the blind is always closed....presto, a cheap & easy fix plus the additional space on the blind to hang figures doesn’t look bad at all

Get a small air purifier. They collect dust so make sure you have something to keep them clean

I never display my figures near a window or I have a thick curtain in the room window. At my old house (unbeknownst to me) for about a week my figures & a few MOC figures were exposed to natural light coming from the atrium window that was down the hall 10ft plus away. Not even heavy natural light but it was just enough to start fading the box art of my MOC figures.
