I recently started buying WWE Mattel figures again due to the Ultimate Edition line. It wasn't just the characters and attires they are doing that attracted me to the Ultimates line, but also I really like how they are articulated. I think they look better than Elites the way they are articulated on the torso, as opposed to having the cut out square ab crunch that the Elites have.
I almost bought Bret Hart right off, but hesitated. But then when I saw the Macho Man I had to jump in. I went back and bought Ultimate Bret Hart, bought Macho Man, and I am now very excited about Wrestlemania IX Hulk Hogan and Wrestlemania VI Ultimate Warrior.
So I wondered, what would you like to see going forward, and how do you collect this line?
Are there certain things you buy and want to see, or are you just all in?
For me, I really just want WWF/WWE characters, and preferably from the 80's up to about 98 at the most. But really, I'd mostly like characters in attires from say 1988-1994
I'd love to get the likes of
Razor Ramon Diesel Million Dollar Man Andre the Giant Big Bossman Brutus Beefcake Mr. Perfect British Bulldog Undertaker Kane
And more figures of Bret Hart and HBK from the early 90's, and more Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, and Hogan from any of their WWF/WWE runs and eras
I will say, I have pre ordered Ric Flair and Steve Austin as well. I know the Flair is a WCW Flair, but it's also how he looked in WWF in the early 90's, so I had to get him. And Austin from the Attitude era feels like a must have too. I wish I had got the Ultimate Attitude era Rock, but I missed out on that. But that's ok. While I will get some Attitude Era characters like Austin, or Kane if they make him. Characters from that time aren't as important to me as 80's-early/mid 90's.
So what do you want to see? Characters from WWF/WWE? WCW? ECW? Is there a timeline or era you'd prefer, or do you just plan to get them all? And what Superstars would you like to see? Also, any certain attires from a certain event?

The only thing I want to see can’t be seen now because he’s no longer signed...Surfer Sting. That would have been my dream figure.
But seeing that can’t happen now and we have Hogan and Flair coming all that I would really be must haves for me would be Piper, Superfly, Early Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs, Von Erich’s, Randy Orton & Seth Rollins. I am sure there’s many I will buy but those are ones I will always buy. And if they ever sign the Steiners they’re an instant purchase.

I'm a big WCW fan, but I think it's fine if they stick to WWE from the mid-80s up. They have so many icons, and this line seems perfect for showcasing them.
I'd prefer to see the biggest and best in their most definitive looks. I'm okay with repeats for guys like Hogan and Warrior, but I'd prefer they limit it.
I'd also like them to focus on wrestlers who still need truly great figures, like Mr. Perfect, or guys they haven't done as much or in a long time.
I feel like with some guys they're making them just because of who they are. Macho Man is a must make, but I'm not sure the attire they chose was the best. Remaking and improving his Wrestlemania VII DM fig would have been amazing.
Finally, I'd prefer fewer recents like Ronda Rousey and the Fiend and Becky and Shinsuke if it's nothing groundbreaking. What we got for each was recently done and/or could have been done in the Elite line (Fiend's jacket would have had to be different, but the UE just gave us the no-jacket option we've already had a couple times anyway, so we could have had a jacketed Elite).
Overall, it's a great line and they're handling it well. I'd just prefer more icons and fewer "regular" superstars.

I’m mostly interested in 90’s WWF guys.. UE is the primary line I collect and luckily have been since day 1 (hooked once Warrior was first revealed) considering these current market prices..
I have warrior, bret, rock, hogan, savage and planning or getting austin and flair. Hoping for an undertaker soon and would likely pickup any future warriors/brets/hogans/savages.

They are planning a WM 6 Warrior? Why? We already had it. Twice for that matter. Hopefully that isn’t true. Seems ridiculous.
Anyway, Undertaker would be a cool UE. AJ Styles if we are going more modern.

As an MOC elite collector I’m not buying Ultimates the same way that I do elites. What good does the added articulation do for me? Lol. I’m only getting those who are part of my top favorites. So far I have Bálor, Becky, and Edge. If these were elites I probably would’ve got Nakamura, HHH, HBK, and Charlotte.

I'm grabbing every ultimate that comes out, unlike elites, they are only two per series which is good for my wallet 😁

For flashbacks it would have to be the Undertaker. So many attires to choose from across all eras would make a awesome looking figure. Other flashbacks would be Kane, Eddie, and Kurt Angle maybe to get a bald/ non bald head that can fit one attire.
For modern era I would choose Seth Rollins. I know he has many figures but to have him with his MNM gear and include interchangeable arms for the entrance look would look awesome. Others would be Roman mainly for that extra articulation, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, and Sasha Banks to finally get a more poseable jacket with the interchangeable arms. Even a UE Asuka with her robe.
