Preorders are up for a new line of officially licensed Battletoads figures. Unfortunately you only get 2/3 of the toads in wave 1 but assuming Pimple will be in wave 2. premiumdna.toys/

Premium DNA is the same company as spam, who was ripping off their customers by not fulfilling orders and pocketing the money. Their physical store went out of business and their stock and pre-orders for items they will never have in-stock have disappeared from their website.

Don't trust them. Wait until preorders are available on trustable sites like the largestangriestactionfigureshop

1) It's tough to have 100% faith in this company due to their ties to Mega.lop.olis and that whole scammy cluster.
2) This is now the third different set of figures they've solicited, but no figures have actually come out for ANY of these lines yet. 2a) Because of that, we have no idea as to the quality of their figures. 2b) On top of that, it's just completely silly to not make all three Toads in one go. The earliest this first set would come out probably wouldn't be until early next year...then you want us to wait another year on top of that for the third Toad? Come on. There's no guarantee this company will even still be around in 2022 or 2023 at this point.
3) The price point on these figures is ridiculous from an unproven company with a spotty track record and stains in their shorts.
Coming from a huge Battletoads fan who has been seriously looking forward to figures of the boys for ages...I am rife with disappointment.

I remember when people kept prank calling GameStop and The Gold and Silver Pawn shop asking for BattleToads

I must have missed all the drama from Me*ga*opolis. I was just thinking about them a couple weeks ago and that I hadn't heard anyone mention them recently. Sounds really crappy.

I never purchased from them, but based on what Ive heard -They havent fulfilled any orders placed since September last year (maybe earlier). Now think of how many orders they must have had during the holiday shopping season. -Requests for refunds have went unanswered -Their website had featured items for pre-orders that they never had or never will have in stock, yet people were still placing them and getting charged. -The money they stole from their customers seem to have went into funding their Premium DNA line. TheLastDude what else can you tell us about this situation?

TheLastDude what else can you tell us about this situation? As far as I know, the issues started back around Black Friday of 2018. People were ordering stuff and not receiving it, or they were receiving it way past the date when they were supposed to (by months). Requests for refunds weren't (and in some cases still aren't) being honored. Some people wound up having to issue chargebacks on their CCs to get their money back. Mega closed their retail store out of the blue. They temporarily shut down their store website and then reopened it as basically a toy news site but are still selling Premium DNA figures/Mega branded products. (They also scrubbed their social media accounts as well during all of this). When Premium DNA was announced, there was a lot of crossbranding between this and Mega. Once the Mega shitstorm hit, they pulled down all references to Mega when it came to Premium DNA, which is understandable, but still looks bad. Those who knew they were being run by the same guys knew...but anyone coming in off the street wasn't going to be aware of the connections. EE sued them for breach of contract, and Mega filed a response stating that EE was sabotaging them and trying to put them out of business because Mega was becoming more popular than EE as a toy retailer, and there was a good chance that Premium DNA was going to wind up being a bigger deal than Bif Bang Pow was. I mean, I honestly don't know who is in the right, and who is in the wrong here. Not being directly involved in any of this, I cannot know for sure. Most likely there is some truth on both sides. But I have difficulty putting 100% trust behind a company that is either at worst deliberately scamming people...or at best really... really bad at business.

They sponsored a podcast I listened to for a little while so I figured they weren't one of these fly by night operations that we've seen over and over again the past decade. It really puts into perspective how well run RSC is for the most part and the longevity they've achieved. But you said it best, they're either scamming people or terrible at business. There's really no in between and both are major red flags.

Mega wound up being the definition of "you're only as good as your last transaction". I don't really recall anyone having issues with them until all of a sudden everyone was having issues with them. It seems to me from the outside looking in that they got too big too fast, and had too many irons in the fire for the staff they had on hand. Problem is, they didn't know how to reel the fish in, so the boat started sinking.
