Less than two years isn’t a few years. But I don’t disagree that there could be a few more over the years. Then again, Charlotte only has 1 elite figure. Yeah, but that one Charlotte is in the Pegwarming Hall of Fame.
Can't really blame Charlotte for that. Wasn't that a Tito situation where she was overpacked because they had to pull the Rich Swann late?

All of which have been around longer than Asuka has and arguably all are bigger stars.

Her ring gear is always really elaborate with a lot of paint deco. Basically it's hard to budget for her. They would need to remove a lot of color detail to even attempt a basic, and that's before you even get into how textured her gear is. Notice how a lot of other wrestlers have one or two central colors per outfit, and mostly it's geometric color-blocking, or a logo on a pure, fully saturated color. Look at Elite 85, which is a lineup mostly of black clothing and the most difficult deco is Aleister Black's tattoos. Asuka's my favorite active wrestler, but her figures totally break budgets. The Monsters figure gave her mono-black gear to make it work as a Basic. Exactly this. And if they tried to do a budget friendly version of her figure by taking liberties with the design and colors there would be a large group complaining how inaccurate it was and wrestlers with podcasts making fun of it and calling out Bill bringing their audience to pile on the negativity. She does wrestle in a black t shirt at times so I wouldn't be too annoyed if they released a less detailed basic. |

Surprisingly enough, all of her elites have been in her NXT gears. E87 will be her first actual main roster attire debut in figure form. In fairness, the attire Network Spotlight Asuka has was also the same gear she would wear on the main roster for a little while. She wore it pretty often during her initial main roster debut in 2017, and continued to wear it every now and then until around late 2018, basically right before she won the SD Women's Title at TLC that year. So that's why I've been pretty satisfied with the NS Asuka until now. It works as a great representation for both NXT Asuka, and main roster Asuka. Can't wait for the Elite 87 though. Need that updated look/attire! |

I have the network spotlight and I'm happy with that considering they probably won't make one with the entrance coat so the only other figure of hers I'll need is the Hopefully upcoming Ultimate version with all the bells and whistles.

I'd love to finally get a robe for Asuka, especially her later fur collared ones.
That means it would only budget as an ultimate. But hey, I passed on ult. Becky and Charlotte, an Ultimate Asuka would get me to bit the bullet, for sure!
It really sucks they didn't make a Kabuki Warriors Kairi before she quit.
