Newsy people are pointing to the powerbomb onto the floor is where Cassidy was hurt, noting his face turned bright red afterwards. Way earlier than I thought. And the three-way was always gonna be the plan with a draw. Meh, like the interference better.
Not speculating the seriousness, but what happens at DON if Orange Cassidy is unavailable? Straight 1v1 or is someone thrown in for the heck of it? Nobody else from the top 5 would be free.

Maaaaaaaybe you could justify shoving Beretta or Chuckie in there through some angle, either of them are more than talented enough to do that match. PAC vs. Omega 3 (?) is still enough on it's own though I think they could just as easily run 1v1 and revisit Cassidy later on a special Dynamite or something. |

Wow, Cody is insufferable đ I honestly don't get it, are we supposed to be laughing with him? Is it another wink and a nudge for the hardcore fans? Terrible promo, whoever said in this thread it set the business back far more than Blood and Guts did đ
I don't watch every week, but besides that, I thought last night was brilliant. Great to see them finally getting Miro right and the tag match was fantastic.

I get it if people didnât like Codyâs promo, but you guys understand everything he does is homage to southern wrestling of yesteryear and his dad? The whole point was so he could use the American Dream moniker at the PPV.
It wasnât his best promo, but it served its point. Making himself a big deal will make Ogogoâs win even more meaningful. Iâm confident in this because heâs done it multiple times in this promotion.

Meh, homage or not I just think Cody came off like a dork. As a Canadian with no horse in the USA vs. England race, I'm going with the bad ass with a cool accent.
But admittedly I'm still annoyed at Cody for that awful finish vs. Pentagon and will find anything to use against him lol

I would have to go back and rewatch his promo word-for-word, but at the time it felt disconnected from the current day. Naively simplistic to say "no matter what our differences are, we are one, and we must stand united against this chum from across the pond". Especially with the rumors that the EVP's aren't even on speaking terms right now (allegedly. Even if they're kayfabeing hardcore, be aware others may no longer be accustomed to it). It's always said simplicity is good for pro wrestling, but this is a step too far, I felt. "I'm a foreigner. I don't like the US." "I like the US, let's fight about it." Like my post Wednesday, this sets the industry back in a bad way. My opinion. [Don't take all this personally. Didn't know anyone besides me was really ragging on it lol.] |

Sorry I enjoyed Codyâs promo, because you knew it was going towards the American Dream moniker. But I know many here arenât or havenât been fans of the patriotism promos for years now and donât think they work in this climate anymore. But I thought it was a fun little throwback.
Now one person I wish would stop talking is Omega, because nine times out of ten his promos arenât any good. He can go in the ring, but he canât talk his way out of a wet paper bag to save his life. They put all those titles on him and nothing he says makes me want to see him defend then. Which is a shame because everyone knows how I feel about Moxleyâs wrestling ability. (Or lack of) yet he can cut a promo that gets me interested in watching the match even though I know heâs more than likely going to disappoint me with his poorly executed âairâ punches and strikes. Yet Omega who is 100X better in ring than Mox canât say anything to get me excited for a match.

Too much hate and division in America to run that style right now thatâs all. Too many view Pro-USA behavior as the most vile and racist acts you can do, and on the flip side some view waving the flag as a godly act.

Kenny Omega might be the best wrestler on the planet. I'm a huge fan. That said, I agree about his promos. They've never been great. He already has Don as a manager, he should understand his weakness and just let Callis do the talking for him. Omega can be a cocky prick without cutting these promos. |
