We all know Rude was starting up his feud with the Boss Man(a feud I was interested in) that Fall until he left prior to SSeries. Gotta think he wouldve faced em at the Rumble but what does he do for Mania VII and beyond? Instead of Bravo I see Tornado facing him instead.Wouldve been a nice nod to their WCCW past.
Also imagine a feud with Bret for the IC belt later in the year. I really liked how they gave his character change during the 2nd feud with Warrior. More serious if you will. Wouldve been interesting to see where he went in the WWF with it.

I only see him staying maybe a year longer before being phased out for the New Generation Era. He wouldve ended up in WCW either way.

I think he needed to leave at this time and reinvent himself a bit. He had a good run but it didn't look like he was going to make it to the top past Hogan or Warrior. I could see after Hogan entered WCW him having a short feud with him before leaving WCW. I would have liked to have seen Rude come back to the WWF, maybe as DiBiase's top guy in the corporation. A feud with Bret, Shawn, and Diesel in 1994/95 would have been good. Of course, all this would be if he didn't hurt his neck in 1994.

With how great his WCW run was, no doubt when Hogan came in that wouldve been his downfall as no way he goes over in a feud. Back to him returning to the WWF in the mid 90s, I think he wouldve looked outta place in the zany era known as New Generation but yeah matches with Bret/HBK wouldve been killer.

He had a new look and attitude, and he always wore colorful tights which fit that era. I think DiBiase definitely could have brought him in as the leader of his corporation, in a way saying that Rude is what a real world champion looks like, not these new punk kids like HBK, Razor, and Diesel.

Him alongside Dibiase wouldve been a great visual for sure. 2 of the best heels of all time.I will say this era would be his best shot of having a WWF Title run. Just dont put em in a ''cry baby match'' lol.

Not sure exactly where, for me he could have taken the belt off of Diesel at Summer Slam 1995 then faced Bret at Survivor Series. Bret wins, Diesel comes to the ring and powerbombs Bret because he's pissed that Bret got the title shot and he didn't. Then you do what they did for the remainder of the year and up to WrestleMania 12. I could see Rude having a feud against HBK after Shawn beats Bret for the title. I'm sure Shawn would have much rather worked with Rude than Vader. Have Rude win the belt from Shawn at the Survivor Series in 1996 and lose it back to him at the 1997 Royal Rumble. After that, I'm not sure where he would go. I wouldn't have minded seeing a feud between Rude and a newly turned face Stone Cold Steve Austin, that would have been great.

I think we would have seen Rude transition into a commentator role. I think he would have done pretty well with that. Sure as hell better than Jim Neidhart.

I still find it so crazy that Rude left the WWE in the first place. I mean I get that he felt he was owed money for being advertised in main events but Bruce Prichard said he never really even sat down with Vince to talk about it. He just split. I mean he was def a top heel in the company at that point working with the number three babyface in the company at that moment.

I would have liked to see him feud with Marc Mero over Sable!
I could see him and Val Venis being a tag team

I think it was pretty set that Boss Man was gonna get the upper hand of that feud with Rude - which probably helped add to the reasoning for Rude wanting to leave the WWF then.
If he had stayed?? A feud with the British Bulldog seems likely some time in 1991. Maybe even a face turn for Rude and a feud with Mr. Perfect for the IC Title. Maybe at SummerSlam 91 we get Rick Rude vs. Mr. Perfect??
It's hard to say.

Rude was fuming over a few payoffs & where he was headed creatively pissed him off even more.
Loved his early WCW run so I wouldn't change that...but man I would have loved to see him back in WWF in 1994 onwards.
Bret, Razor, HBK & Kid would have been absolutely awesome opponents for him.

The Bossman feud had just started, and when Rude left it became a Bossman vs Heenan family feud that ended at WM 7 vs Perfect. So they could have kept the Rude feud going up to then. After Mania, he could work the summer against Bret or Bulldog, but I would suggest Kerry Von Erich. After Summerslam’s Match Made in Heaven they could have him insult Liz and he could get Savage out of retirement. That could run til Mania 8. Then maybe finally get the run against Bret or Bulldog up to SSlam 92.

We all know how Steamboats 2nd WWF run turned out so I could see them paring these two together during Spring/Summer 91.Maybe a match at SSlam. They had great chemistry as we would see in WCW so no doubt they wouldve tore the house down.
Also would made a nice addition on team Flair at SSeries 91. Plus him as an entry in Rumble 92.

not sure!
im sure he woulda had some good fueds andd matches.
him vs shawn woulda been a good fued. who's the sexiest angle and all that.
woulda been great with flair, perfect, & razor. maybe a new 4 horseman kinda thing.
like someone above mentioned he turns and good and fueds with mr perfect fior IC belt. or he fueds with prefct who is a good guy in 1993.
matches vs luger, razor, savage, steamboat etc would all be on the table as well.
now i kinda wish he didnt leave lol

Also would made a nice addition on team Flair at SSeries 91. Plus him as an entry in Rumble 92. That's one of the reasons I think he needed to leave. He had some really good feuds and matches in WCW as he sorta reinvented himself. I don't think the Steamboat/Rude feud from WCW would have been as good as it was if it happened in the WWF in 1991. We also wouldn't have gotten Rude/Sting, Rude/Rhodes, and Rude/Flair. Or the pairings of Rude and Austin as a tag team on some occasions. Better for him to leave then come back in 1993/94 after these feuds really establish him as a World Champion. not sure! i'm sure he woulda had some good feuds and matches. him vs shawn woulda been a good feud. who's the sexiest angle and all that. woulda been great with flair, perfect, & razor. maybe a new 4 horseman kinda thing. like someone above mentioned he turns and good and fueds with mr perfect fior IC belt. or he fueds with prefct who is a good guy in 1993. matches vs luger, razor, savage, steamboat etc would all be on the table as well. now i kinda wish he didnt leave lol I do like the idea of him feuding with Mr. Perfect, I think those two would have enjoyed working with one another. Though, I think Mr. Perfect makes a better face than Rude ever could. I would have had him leave WWF when he did, go into WCW and have the run he had their (with the feuds he did), then he and Flair could have done a loser leaves town kind-of match in 1993 when they wrestled over the WCW Title (international title). Then Rude comes back to WWF and his first feud in 1993 is with a now-face Mr. Perfect. Since Mr. Perfect was going back on the shelf because of his back issues, I could see Perfect putting Rude over setting him up for a run with Bret for the WWF title in 1994. They spend pretty much all the rest of 1993 and all of 1994 putting Rude over as the top heel in the company. I could see Rude taking Bob Backlund's spot and being the guy that beat Bret for the title at Survivor Series 1994 and dropping the belt to Diesel at either Royal Rumble in 1995 or WrestleMania 11. From what I've heard, Rude and Nash were pretty good friends so I could see Rude working with both Bret and Diesel really well, and willing to do jobs for them so long as he at least got a run with the belt. I could definitely see him working with Savage, Razor, Shawn, Diesel, Bret, Davey Boy, Luger and Stone Cold in the years 1993-1997.

Some good ideas here in this thread if he did stay with the WWF but at the end of the day I agree it was best for em to jump to WCW when he did. Like MKSavage said, the feuds with Sting,Dragon,Flair etc. Legendary.
