I remember watching that episode like it was yesterday. Exciting stuff... always reckoned Bret was going to be the 3rd man because he'd been off WWF TV for even longer than Hall & Nash. The angle started so well it's incredible to look back on. Also amazes me that batb 96 done less buys than 95. The nWos roster should never have expanded beyond Hogan Hall Nash GiantVincent Syxx Savage Hennig Steiner Disciple Bagwell Steiner MutaI kinda understand & don't mind Konnans inclusion but Bryan Adams? Horace? Stevie Ray? Jesus lads cmon... Later when it split? Nash & Hall should have been allowed form their non nWo version of the Wolfpac with the guys they wanted...IE NOT Macho, Luger & Sting 😂😂 Hart, Luger & Sting should have remained enemies of the nWo. Flair should have been allowed recruit Luger & Rick Steiner into a new version of the horsemen to go on equal footing with the nWo like suggested by O Sullivan. They would have been represented as WCW loyalists & took the fight to them. But y'know...Eric & Hogan I wouldnt even added them in. To me "WCW guys" should have stayed WCW guys. Hogan, Hall, Nash, Savage, Syxx, Hennig with DiBiase & Vincent at ringside vs WCW Good guys Sting, Luger, Steiner Brothers, DDP & Jarrett/Piper/Random hot cruiserweight or WCW Bad Guys- Flair, Arn, Harlem Heat, Benoit & The Giant

Definite WWF guy & rib on being Hogan's sidekick. Bagwell & Steiner joining was great IMHO & Bagwell in particular benefited from getting away from his vanilla face role.

Yeah I could let Disciple slide in as a bodyguard type role....Ill agree Bagwell & Steiner both benefitted more being in the nWo but someone like Scott just always screamed "WCW guy" to me....As someone that watched since its inception WCW guys were Sting, Flair, Luger, Arn & Steiner Brothers to me. Kinda like Hogan, Savage, Warrior, Piper and even LOD were WWF guys. I know LOD is disputable though.

I knew about them from PWI but never seen them in action until WWF...NWA/WCW was patchy here until 94ish

Their time in NWA/WCW when I watched was just so splotchy....They would be there for a couple months...then gone...then a month, then gone...Their runs in WWF were at least a year or so each time. (early 90s & mid 90s)

Road Warriors were NWA/WCW to me as that’s where I saw them featured first. I used to watch them every weekend on TBS at my grandparents house when I was growing up. Which is why I like Mattel’s Legends Series 1 figures more than their Elite Series 30 figures.
And I agree while Buff and Scott benefited by being in the NWO Scott was a WCW guy to me. For me the “WCW” guys were Sting, Horsemen, Steiners and Lex.

Konnan, Norton and Buff weren't being used great, but when they put them in the nWo it was a good move. You needed to have guys take losses to the WCW guys so they filled that void without having the Hogan, Hall, Nash taking to many losses. Chono and Muta were decent additions, but might have been added due to the working relationship with New Japan, then Norton started staying in Japan with the group giving them credibility in 2 promotions.
The splintering of the group with Wolfpac was when everything went downhill.

Iconic but overplayed Wolfpack and Hollywood’s feud was more intense And one won the civil war; only then to be destroyed by regrouped WCW by 1999 And this refreshing idea of a new post NWO collapse fallout with a WCW being forged in 1999 would bring excitement Literally who thought of a NWO Elite?
And you know what If WCW Kept going strong and The nwo was destroyed at Starcade 1998 or something or maybe even at war games event and no mention was taken
Maybe in 2000/2001 if a new upstart wanted to reform a NWO the Angle May have been fresh again.
