Happy figure friday everyone! its been pretty slow as far as figure acquisitions have gone lately π im currently in the process of making some big professional changes so, not to say that i havent had time to shop, but i havent really been on the lookout for anything on the secondary market right now. i got the newest legends series in and im really loving those figures. i DID pick up the shamrock chase figure the other day which i was pretty pumped about, REALLY like posing that figure around. ANYWAYS i guess i wanted to share some figures that ive picked up from E95, so lets LIE CHEAT AND STEAL THIS REVIEW ESEEEEEEEEEEEE E95 Eddie GuerreroI actually got pretty excited when i saw the reveal of this eddie figure because i recognized this attire from my favorite wrestling game of all time; Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain. i remember this as during my career mode i had a lengthy feud with Eddie over the US title. this figure represents eddie during his time in the Los Gurreros team where he teamed alongside Chavo Guerrero and--as noted by the included accessory--eventually won the smackdown tag team championships. this was also during the time when eddie had buzzed his hair and it was in a stage of re-growth. this is a very nostalgic look for me, as i mentioned i remember playing against his character on the ps2, but also have memories of watching the product religiously at the time. the headsculpt is OKAY. im not entirely sure what kind of expression they were trying to give this eddie figure, i feel like the directive sent down was "give this figure a cheeky smirk" and they took that literally π€£ i feel like the hair is somehow too thick looking? beyond that this eddie figure follows the classic body recipe we've seen before. the standard release of this figure was produced in this really cool seafoam green/turquiose color and the chase figure was made in black tights....kindof a head scractcher but im fine because i did want the turq colored tights. moving down to the boots, eddie is rocking some black boots with gold accents along the toe, heel and laces. all in all despite the headsculpt being not quite there, i would recommend grabbing this eddie guerrero figure for the collection. we havent gotten alot of Eddie figures as of late and this figure does represent an era of his career that mattel has not offered up yet. as i mentioned in the earlier eddie review......i want an eddie ultimate figure now π

πΊπΊπΊπΊ Coming in today with a JOHN CENA SUNDAYπΊπΊπΊπΊ E95 John Cenafinishing up the reviews for my pickups from E95 is the man who has seen 20 years in the business so far, John Cena! this figure is based on John Cena's return to wwe at money in the bank 2021! this cena figure comes to us decked out in the classic john deere green and yellow colorscheme with the motto : "Respect. Earn it. Never Give Up." the headsculpt on this figure portrays john with a slightly longer, more stylish slicked back haircut. its a really jarring look, but knowing John has been existing outside of the wrestling world for a bit now its something we gotta get used to. the sculpt on the face looks great, it captures john with a soft half smile on his face. my figure has a slight botch to the truefx paint apps, his right eye has a paint line coming down from the eye. the rest of this john figure is the somewhat classic, but much improved John Cena Elite formula- john cena torso, double jointed defined arms and the jorts mold that comes to the upper knee. his wrist bands are the classic "u cant c me" in green on his right arm and "hustle loyalty respect" on the yellow bands on his left arm, "never give up" in the john deere color scheme on the band posted on his left bicep. i compared this figure to my other most recent john cena figure which was the top picks figure. i think this is a great contrast not only in showing the evolution of the john cena character, but the body recipe that can be used to portray him throughout the years. there were times during his thuganomics or super cena run where he really bulked up and got big, but now he has certainly trimmed up a bunch. also the jean shorts and shoes mold. we ALL hate that below the knee and sneaker mold combination, the newer one atleast keeps the figures from falling over involuntarily. all in all id say this is a cool figure to have in the collection to further the time line of johns character. it kinda sucks that he has become a novelty act in recent years, not really popping up to give us a taste of Big Match John anymore, but it will give us a much bigger appreciation for the contributions we were able to get from him when we could in the years to come.

Coming in this week, ive got some more old school figure pickups to share and then i THINK we'll get into the Survivor Series Rick Rude BAF wave! E80 Rocky Johnsontoday we're bringing in some power with the SOUL man, Rocky Johnson! Rocky saw his fame and prime many years before i began watching the product, but it is very cool to be able to own the Rock's father in prime figure form. this figure comes to us wearing a softgoods purple colored robe. the material for the robe is kinda light, as you can see in the photos, its actually somewhat transparent. the trim is a silky feeling lighter purple. the headsculpt on this figure is OKAY. i feel like theres a weird thing with the sculpting on his eyes and the moustache just a little bit; it really looks like either a fully hand sculpted head or a straight up scan of a 2-d photo into a 3-d render. but really though- those are my critical comments, the headsculpt looks good for a young rocky. i like the body recipe; looking at pictures of the soul man he had a physique almost exactly similar to this torso. Rocky features some chest hair and his iconic swallow chest tattoos. i kinda feel like the skintone is a tad too dark? like the newest legends Farooq would be perfect. This Rocky Johnson was given some magenta? colored trunks. im not a Rocky historian but a quick google search did not show him wearing magenta trunk. some picks of red, yellow and even purple, but no pink or magenta. finishing up the figure are some nice monogrammed white boots with black laces. all in all this is a cool figure to have in the collection for sure! we do not have a Tony Atlas figure to pair him with, however we do have a don muraco, greg valentine and wild samoans figures to stand him off against!

Coming in today with a WHAT YOU GONNA DO?! WeDNeSdAY, BROTHERS!!! Defining Moments Hulk HoganSo, this was the start of Hulkamania running wild on the mattel line! This Hulk Hogan appears to be from the infamous wrestlemania 3 match against Andre the giant based on the information on the back of the box. this Hulkster comes to us draped in the iconic red and yellow hulkamania scheme starting with a yellow branded headband. the headband tucks into the sides of his hair, it fits on snugly on his head and the indents in the hair arent hugely noticeable when the bandana is out. the headsculpt on this figure is OKAY. this is all pre-truefx so they were working from reference photos or hand sculpts to get the likeness dialed up. hulk definitely looked a bit different in the face in his early years of working, so i can get where they were coming from with this sculpt, but it does miss the mark as far as really looking like hulk hogan. i kinda feel like the proportions all around are too small; his eyes are a little too close together, nose and moustache seem a bit too small. ive compared this figure to my most recent hulk hogan figure (E96), but i think comparing it to the ultimate edition hulk would provide a much better comparison as far as timeline. continuing down the figure, this hulkster was given a rubber rippable shirt and the actual hulk hogan torso! why do we keep getting the Sheamus torso then??! then this hulk sees the classic yellow trunks and boots with the red kneepads. for accessories this hulk was given a golden cross. all in all this was actually a pretty great offering for the first ever hulk hogan elite figure in the line. as i understand this was the debut of this particular torso and they correctly used the brock sized arms on this figure to commemorate the 24" pythons. as we can see while comparing this figure against the newest hulk, the skintone is the normal peach color, and i think thats fine because i dont think that the headsculpt would look half as good if it was the classic hogan hotdog tan color. im glad that we've seen so many Hulksters in the line lately, people want to try and deny it or joke about it, but the hulkster will be moving merch into infinity, brother!

Happy SURVIVOR Saturday its been awhile π
ive made a bunch of really big, really great life changes lately and things are going great!!! coming in today with the final installment of the Rick Rude Survivor Series wave Ultimate Warriorthe final figure of the wave comes sprinting to the ring all the way from Survivor Series 1990; its the Ultimate Warrior!! i think that this Warrior figure has become my new #1 favorite Warrior figure in my collection at the moment. the headsculpt is the old Hall of Champions sculpt that sees his hair slicked back and a yelling, shouting expression. i really like this headsculpt, it captures that high energy that the Warrior was constantly radiating. as noted, this figure is from Survivor Series 1990 where he assembled a team known as THE WARRIORS - recruiting the Road Warriors and Texas Tornado in an absolute powerhouse move. that being said this figure is accurate to his attire worn during the event, he is seen wearing some silver and black facepaint with a light layer of metallic gold on top. moving down the figure, this warrior has black, white and red articulated arm tassels and white and purple wristbands featuring little orange warrior logos. this warrior is sporting white trunks with multicolored warrior logos sprinkled throughout and "The Only Survivor" in black cursive script on the back. warrior's kneepads match his trunks and he has florescent yellow, green and orange articulated tassels hanging off. finishing up this Survivor series Warrior figure are some clean looking silver boots and boot tassels. All in all as i mentioned this is now probably my favorite warrior figure that i own. i really like the color presented in his attire and the headsculpt is exuding so much energy this figure is so much fun to pose around. although this was in a BAF wave, i wouldve really liked to see a white strap winged eagle championship to go along with this warrior. BAF RANKING so, i honestly felt like this BAF wave was really weak. the drew figure was a re-release with softgoods but wrong attire color, the AJ figure was not so exciting as he is just wearing Team Raw gear, the becky figure- to me - was so freaking bland, and the ultimate warrior was the only gem of the set. i honestly rank this wave 1/4 on desirability. 4. Becky Lynch - i rank this figure last because it was a re-used headsculpt, the upper torso was just all red and the only unique thing about the figure was the new kneepads. 3. Drew Mcintyre - this figure is a straight re-release of the old elite drew with double jointed arms and a softgoods jacket. although the softgoods jacket is high quality, drew wore black trunks during the Survivor series event, not white. 2. AJ Styles - although im not too thrilled about the team RAW gear, this is a pretty standard AJ figure in ring gear and i guess i dont have any further complaints about the figure. 1. Ultimate Warrior - Warrior was easily the best figure in the wave. the headsculpt comes from a rare figure, the attire looks amazing and the figure is super fun to pose around. Rick Rudeit was really cool to finally get a suited Rick Rude figure. the release of this figure allows us to pose Rick with both our DX Army figures and nWo figures as he was the only man to ever appear on RAW and Nitro on the same night.

I prefer Mox in AEW as solo Ambrose in WWE bored me to death, but man I donβt wish we could one day get Ultimate SHIELD figures.

happy figure friday! i was recently out of town on a business trip and i did a little figure hunting while i was out there, but didnt find anything worth bringing home. Walmart also cancelled my pre-order for the Ruthless Aggression Kevin Nash figure which really bummed me out. i did however come home to the Ruthless Aggresssion RVD that i won off of ebay. so im getting a little heat back on them π€π»π€π» the RVD figure is sickkkk. Today im going to start reviewing the figures i bought from Elite Series 96! E96 Hulk Hogan an interesting choice for a Hulk Figure and accessory pairing. this figure is from the debut promo for the war bonnet. he said in an interview with ringside that the fisted helmet gimmick was born of the fact that the guys in the back were not agreeing with laying down for the leg drop, so he had this idea to try and appease them but it was still poo-poo'ed π this is a classic hulk hogan figure meaning that he gets the Hogan torso and dark tan skin tone. the headsculpt is a 'hulking up' head with all teeth beared and eyes fully open. its a great headsculpt-the likeness and capture of the expression comes across great! its a very specific and somewhat goofy expression, but it works. the included accessories include a HULK RULES bandana, the war bonnet, gold cross necklace, and a license plate necklace with 'HULKSTR' imprinted on it. all accessories look great and the war bonnet does infact fit over the bandana as he wore it. all in all this is a great figure. its a great classic hulk hogan figure, the war bonnet is kindof a deep cut and it was a pleasant surprise for us collectors, but i can bet not many of us had 'War Bonnet Hogan' on our bingo sheets. given all of the interchangeable hands included the headsculpt does work with multiple poses, so thats very cool given the unique expression this figure presents. its not necessarily a MUST HAVE for the collection but its a classic hogan with a unique accessory, brother!

Coming in today with an edition of SHE SLAYS SUNDAYwrapping up my reviews from my pickups from E96 : E96 DoudropDOUDROP! this was an interesting figure that i picked up during the black friday sales at ringside; i opted to purchase the metallic teal colored Chase attire. Given her build, this Doudrop figure features a bunch of brand new unique body sculpts and they all look great, this figure doesnt look out of proportion anywhere. the headsculpt on this figure is good, it holds a good likeness to Doudrop, i feel like they may have gone a little heavy on the eye makeup but the sculpting and hairstyle look good. the sides of her singlet feature openings and some lace mesh designs, all the paint apps on my figure were applied cleanly and crisply. Doudrop is wearing some black mesh leggings, which once again were applied cleanly to my figure. moving down the figure, she is wearing some meduim sized kneepads, black legsleeves and short boots. for accessories, Doudrop was given a softgoods black entrance coat. all in all this is a great figure. the likeness to Doudrop is there and the figure looks proportionate-not too big or too small. her attire is accurate and she comes with a cool softgoods jacket. i dont feel as if this figure is a must have for the collection, but this is probably the only Doudrop figure the line will see and tbh they did a great job with it. i didnt pick up the Brock figure from E96 because i felt the Ultimate figure was a better offering. i skipped on the Kofi because i dont really collect Kofi, and i did want the King Shinsuke figure, but i missed adding him to my cart during black friday and at this point i dont wanna pay full retail for him.
