Happy figure friday y'all! finishing up our reviews for the summerslam BAF wave with a FINAL COUNT FRIDAY!!!!! 🤚 Summerslam Elite BAF John ConeJohn ConeComing in for the final count on this wave today is the product of this BAF wave Referee John Cone!!!!! Super excited to be getting official wwe referee figures for our feds and photography needs. The headsculpt on this figure is great, it holds an awesome likeness to John and seems to be scaled appropriately. John comes to the ring wearing some modern wwe era zebra stripes; he is wearing a polo shirt with a black collar and black and white vertical stripes, a large WWE patch featured on both his upper left chest and left arm. Like the Muhammad Ali Referee figure, John was equipped with a plethora of hand style for hitting any possible pose in the ring; fisted hands, open palm hands for mat counting, 1 count, 2 count, and 3 count hands. Finishing up this figure are some black slack pants and laced boots. All in all this BAF John cone figure is 100% worth the effort to build and acquire. He is scaled appropriately among the rest of the wwe mattel roster, he is even shorter than Xpac, so no issues drawing attention away from the wrestlers. Also the figure joints move really fluidly and the articulation allows for really dynamic posing--and honestly i did have alot of fun posing this figure around. This figure and accompanying ref figures are gonna be amazing additions to our rosters, they look and pose around just amazingly. ALL IN ALL WAS THIS BAF WAVE WORTH IT?!? Wow, so I was a pretty solid 4/5 excited for this wave and BAF product. Although not being a huge Lex Luger fan I can appreciate a good figure and could tell mattel was gonna deliver with that one. The Kane figure—I guess I wouldn’t really trip over myself to own it if it was just a mainline elite but im glad we got a 2004 era Kane with updated tech. the Xpac figure was the MVP for me, I was legit excited to buy this figure so nothing to complain about there, but The undertaker figure was the stinker for me this go around. lately, figures of his modern look just arent that exciting. The John Cone referee figure was an ace choice for BAF. For ages we have been getting announcers and managers and now talent as BAF so finally sneaking in some appropriately scaled referees with modern articulation and interchangeable technology gets a standing ovation. Hoping that we get the chance to see some classic faces and names we remember like Tim White, Nick Patrick, Charles Robinson, (hebner? Probably never but)

Happy superstar saturday y'all! hope everyone had a great week and is rolling into the weekend well! no figure hunts this weekend for me 😂 i found the elusive Scott Hall MNW figure this past thursday thus completing my two month long mission to complete the MNW series 1 wave. i dont forsee my locale getting series two for a few weeks/months so im gonna let off the gas pedal for a weekend and just chill out, really no chance of seeing anything new at my local target either so yeah. i did do a little shopping on Mercari this morning and scooped up an older elite figure for a good price and a few accessories i had been looking to acquire for a fair price. Mercari was almost better than ebay for a hot second imo but now they tack on a bunch of fees at checkout and i have been doing less and less shopping there. ANYWAYS, got a bunch of figs to share and talk about, hope yall are still enjoying the thread and content. im still having fun collecting and taking pics so im gonna keep at it 🤘 coming in today with a quick SHAWN MICHAELS SATURDAY Lost Legends Shawn MichaelsSuperkicking in today is a classic Shawn Michaels figure that has seen a few releases in the line so far and i was able to snag the Lost Legends line release. This Shawn figure comes to us wearing the gear he sported at Bad Blood 97 in his Hell in a Cell match against the Undertaker. during the pre match promos and during the match, Shawn was rocking a hair down look and this figure reflects that. the facial sculpting portrays shawn in a serious, straight faced, determined expression and it looks good and is fitting for the match--the likeness however is far from photorealistic. Shawn comes to the ring wearing (some) of his entrance gear from the match; this figure was given silver studded shoulder pad and accompanying arm sleeve. the real gear had a matching pair of studded chaps and honestly i owned the original E19 figure back in the day and the entrance gear ALWAYS bugged me because it was black leather gear with little silver studs throughout and the sculpting looks great but im not sure why mattel molded this all in silver. im sure mattel could have molded these in black and applied silver paint detailing to the studs easily, but its not the route they chose to take. speaking of black and silver, Shawn comes to the ring wearing a primarily black and silver themed attire for this event, starting off with some black handwraps featuring silver heartbreak hearts. he was given a lightweight torso, pretty sure the torso formula for shawn elites has never changed, it works for him. Shawn's tights are black with those silver hearts throughout the legs and a Heartbreak Kid logo on the back. finishing up this figure are some black kickpads with silver paint detailing on the side for the closure of the boots; mattel painted silver tabs with little black heartbreak hearts on them. all in all this is a great figure. it brings fond memories for me as it was MY first elite shawn michaels figure back in the day. the figure design still holds up to this day, it would look great with a new trueFx head and double jointed arms, but for the love of god i just bought this figure mattel please dont re-release it anytime soon. 😂 also big props to the person who sold me this figure it is literally in mint condition for being loose.

You want a war? you got a war!and we got our asses kicked for 83 straight weeksthe new world organization, brotherand thats the bottom lineWHOS NEXTWHATS NEXT OMG ITS TIME FOR THE MONDAY NIGHT WARS🔥🎆🎇🔥🎆🎇🔥🎆🎇🔥🎆🎇🔥🎆🎇🔥 >90s level pyro budget Monday Night Wars Series 1 Hulk HoganComing in today is DARKSIDE Third Man Hogan—from July 15 1996 episode of Nitro! To be honest I was VERY excited for this figure, this was the attire Hulk wore during his speech about the new world organization, brother and it really was a HUGE moment in professional wrestling history. First, notably they gave hulkster the hotdog tan so that’s cool it adds an extra layer of accuracy to this figure. The headsculpt on this figure is brand new as we get a very trim looking hulkster it a tight lipped, glaring, nasty expression and it is a far cry from the happy warm fuzzy hulkamania smiles we once knew so well. This hulkster is sporting a much shorter moustache than normal and it adds to his new villainous look—but most importantly I can see the likeness to Hogan from all angles both with and without his headgear. Speaking of headgear, this Hogan was given an all black bandana and all black sunglasses; nothing too special to note of here they look and fit the figure great. Interestingly enough this hulk was given an all black, sleeveless softgoods shirt and it also looks and fits the figure great. This figure is utilizing the new hogan specific torso which is awesome +10 on that. For hands mattel opted to give this figure the Hollywood style cuffed glove hands and at this point they are like my favorite hand/glove style they look amazing on this heel Hogan figure i just want some pointing hands now. Hulkster is sporting an all black weight belt with white ‘Hulkster’ logo on the back, a far cry from the vibrant red and yellow. Finishing up this figure are some all black tights and all black cowboy boots; basically the lower body formula of his legends/hall of fame figure but now in all black everything. All in all I love this Hogan Monday Night Wars figure. It was a great, epic, iconic moment in pro wrestling and honestly mattel really did a stellar job on this figure. watching the original footage back and then looking at this figure its like poof! mattel pulled Hogan right off the screen and put him in our collections. My only complaint at this point is when I rush into a store and get excited seeing the MNW boxes on the pegs to learn they are just left over hogans… 😂😭

happy FIGURE FRIDAY y'all!! it was quite a figure friday for me, when i got done working i decided to make a route and hit some walmarts on my way home. i hit 6 wal marts in total and came home with 5 new figures! got the MNW series 2 Triple H and Rey Mysterio figures and AEW Toni Storm and THE ACCLAMIEDDDDDDD ✂️ it was funny, the closer to home i was the less new figures i saw. hopefully the big Kev and Diesel figures pop up on local pegs soon i genuinely do not want to pay SCALPER prices for those guys. ANYWAYS keeping on with our MNW series 1 reviews Monday Night Wars Series 1Scott HallHEY. YO. That’s right, coming in through the crowd today is The Outsider, Scott Hall! Honestly this was the last figure I acquired from the set because he was so hard to track down due to shipments, stock, etc BUT HERE WE ARE, YO. So this is pretty clearly the MOST Monday Night Wars figure by definition that you can get. One of the most important moments and looks in wrestling history and mattel kinda sorta fumbled this a little bit. We got two interchangeable headsculpts with this figure (the only figure in series one with multiple heads) one from the Ultimate edition figure with hair down (that looks amazing) and one that once was a flashback figure in a ponytail hairstyle and that one is more accurate to his nitro debut but it looks worse than the new ultimate edition head with hair down. Scott was given the same torso and arms his recent figures have been receiving with added chest hair detailing. So the next slight botch is Scott’s molded rubber vest that mattel included-it is supposed to be denim matching the pants aswell but they just molded it in a sky blue color and called it a day. I have seen people hit it with a white wash and it turns out pretty good, not sure why that was overlooked on mattels part. This Scott comes to us on those new British Bulldog BAF legs; the jeans tucked into the boots look—SO GLAD Mattel switched the design after hearing feedback I remember when his proto was shown wearing normal jeans and that totally would have ruined the figure. For accessories, Scott comes with a blank microphone and interchangeable fisted hands. All in all this figure has me so conflicted. It is a massive, monumental moment in the sport and mattel did good BUT they had the capacity to do great. I think sprucing up the sculpting on the ponytail head would have done wonders and ofcourse matching the detailing of his denim top to the jeans.

Aaaaaaaaaaandd we're back! just returned from a business trip to South Carolina! i went to FOUR walmarts that had the exact same remnants of MNW series 1 on the pegs(HOGANS), nothing exciting or out of the ordinary at all beyond that. when youre in the trenches time moves slowly! WHERE ARE THOSE SERIES 2 FIGURES AND WHY CANT WE ORDER THESE ONLINE?!?! ANYWAYS, ive gotten in a few older figures that i picked up after enjoying a little too much Ric Flair Drip 🍁 prices were great but beyond that there was no drawing force bringing these figures to my home. but nonetheless there are now fewer holes in my Mattel collection than there were before so thats pretty cool! got my Legends of the Territory 4 pack in--AMAZING, i love it, i needed it, im so happy mattel did this for us. there are a ton of 'seemingly' good deals on mercari but as i mentioned before when you go to hit that checkout button they tack on $3-4 in taxes and fees, turning what would be a $23 loose figure into a $30+ figure with shipping and fees. NOT COOL. sellers are getting insulted by low offers but i tell them im not buying a figure to line mercari's wallet either so we both get upset and walk away unfullfilled. ANYWAYS We have some more MONDAY NIGHT WARS content to light up and then i think we're gonna cruise RIGHT INTO the next LEGENDS line of figures!! Monday Night Wars Ultimate EditionBret Hart coming in today is the Ultimate figure alot of us were waiting and clamoring for; the Ultimate Edition Bret Hart wearing the all black gear ala his early Defining Moments figure! it seemed that there were a fair few board members having trouble finding this figure but my local wal mart had put these on the shelves way before the MNW Elites so i had a nice easy chance to grab both Bret and Roddy no problems at all. as i have mentioned in a few of my other Bret reviews, i never had the chance to own or play with Bret figures when i was a kid, so frankly all the mattel Brets we get im gonna scoop up. i was pretty excited for this figure as it marks the return of his all black gear to the mattel line-this time in Ultimate figure form. this Bret comes with three interchangeable heads and.......yeah mattel once again missed the mark on bret likeness this time x3. once of the first heads we get is Bret, in a serious, focued, teeth bearing grimace expression and although it is my favorite of the three included, it still ever so slightly misses that Bret Hart likeness. not sure if its the paint apps on the eyes, eyebrows or what the missing link is, but the sculpting seems decent enough, im JUST not seeing Bret the Hitman Hart. the second headsculpt included is a soft, happy, smiling scan and i can kinda see Bret's likeness here but he looks really """""relaxed""""" BretBro420 if you weilllll. the third scan included is an open mouthed shouting scan, kinda seems like they took that original Ultimate edition Bret headsculpt and maybe re-tooled it a bit and put a different hairpiece on the head---once again loses the likeness in the facial area, eyes-eyebrows, etc. so the thing with all of these sculpts is that they do end up looking great with the sunglasses on the figure, but removing the sunglasses from the figure really kinda pulls the rug from under the figure and knocks it down a grade or two. this Bret was given a new leather jacket sculpt for his upper body and it looks great and fits the figure fine. a side note, the Ultimate Roddy Piper that was on pegs alongside this Bret has the EXACT SAME leather jacket and although i get why they did that i wish they had not put two figures with the exact same accessory in a wave together. Bret comes to the ring, as mentioned, wearing his all black gear consisting of a black singlet top outlined in pink that features his trademark winged skull logo front and center on the singlet, the back of the singlet is blank. Bret's tights continue the designscheme as his is also wearing black tights with Pink and White stripe designs on the outside of each leg black 'hitman' logo going down the center of the stripes. the back of his tights feature a Skull logo with HITMAN in pink projected behind it. finishing up this figure are some small black kneepads and the Hitman's trademark white boots with pink star and black 'spat' designs on the toe and heel. All in all this is another good Bret Hart Ultimate figure. im glad that we got the all black gear many have been asking for to make a re-appearance in the line, and i like the execution of the newly molded leather jacket. i just wish for the life of me mattel would really put a ton of effort into nailing down this bret hart likeness. we have had a plethora of mattel basic, elite, and ultimate figures and they all miss the mark by a varying degree. our collections are full of BART HARTs but very few actual BRET HARTs 😝 if i had anything to complain about, i wish mattel had packaged a winged eagle title or a possible canadian flag with this figure just to spruce it up a little more for tangible accessories.

Monday Night Wars Ultimate EditionRowdy Roddy PiperPiping into the reviews today is the foil to the evil Hollywood Hulk Hogan in WCW, the TRUE I.C.O.N; Rowdy Roddy Piper. this figure comes off the heels of what many consider to be the definitive 'early era' Ultimate Edition Roddy Piper figure from the Coliseum Collection, this figure looks to complete the timeline of looks for the (mid)latter years of Pipers career in the ring. This Piper comes to us with three interchangeable heads and to be honest all three look really phenominal, i can easily see Piper's likeness on all heads from any given angle. the first head portrays Piper in a straight faced determined expression, the second a jovial teeth bearing-smiling "i just re-booked your worst nightmares" expression, and the third is a mouth open, teeth bearing angry shouting expression. all three heads utilize the short haird, comb over hairstyle Piper was sporting during the era and as i mentioned all three heads hold a great likeness and portray the appropriate energy during static and dynamic posing of the figure. Piper was given an interchangeable leather jacket, two softgoods black tshirts, a belt and a softgoods removable kilt for entrance gear. the jacket is the same sculpt that was used on the Bret Hart that appears alongside this Piper in series 1. the two softgoods tshirts are perfect and absolutely essential to pair with this Piper from this era; this Pipe comes with a 'Reality ✔️' and 'I.C.O.N' shirt--i remember seeing the Toybiz 'reality check' piper figure in catalogs all the time as a kid-never got the chance to own it, but a core-memory concerning Piper figures of the past. i much prefer the Reality ✔️ tshirt over the I.C.O.N. shirt--im trying to remember i think he exclusively wore that shirt in a feud against Hollywood Hogan as it stood for "I Cower Over Nothing" and Piper was the TRUE ICON...right. finishing up the entrance gear for this figure are a belt which i quite like as mattel did a phenominal job with the design and execution, and a softgoods Kilt that was also done up quite well and fits the figure great. looking at pictures he was wearing this style of plaid during the era--just a sold red kilt with thin white plaid grid design. i dig the body recipe for this Piper figure, i believe he is utilizing the Ric Flair style body which is appropriate, in his later years especially Piper had a very 'average athletic' physique--no real muscle definition but Dad strength and technique for days. Piper comes to the ring wearing his ever classic attire of white wristbands and generic blue trunks and matching kneepads. Pipe keeps an old school look with some white socks with blue striping extending above his boots andddd.....i dont know i think mattel may have botched his boot color as his boots appear to be a really dark brown color however i think piper wore dark red boots (im not a Piper historian but i think he always wore dark red boots) and the boots feature a gold RP initials logo on the outside of his boots. all in all this is a great figure of a WCW era Roddy Piper! for the elite only collectors it sucks that this era of piper hasnt been represented in elite style yet, but i would go as far to say that this IS the definitive WCW era Roddy Piper figure. all of the headsculpts look amazing and hold a great likeness to Hot Rod and they all convey a high level of energy during posing. Body recipe is on point, we got softgoods clothing options and Ultimate level of posing ability. if i could ask mattel for ANYTHING else to go with this figure it may have been to ask to include the US title over the second I.C.O.N shirt or something but regardless this is an amazing figure and i really feel like mattel did this Piper up right.

Legends Series 22Hulk HoganICHIBAN! ICHIBAN! ICHIBAN! Axe Bombing into the reviews today is NUMBAH 1; ICHIBAN Hulk Hogan! another series, another Hogan this time Hulk is appearing in his NJPW look as ICHIBAN. this is a flashback to 1983 when the Hulkster won the IWGP championship in the 10 man tournament. this figure comes with a brand new headsculpt of a very young hulkster. the headsculpt captures Hulk in a smiling, open mouthed, positive, confident expression and the likeness to the hulkster is absolutely present in all angles of this headsculpt. they included a new hairpiece for this Hulk, no headbands only luscious golden bangs flowing across the hulkster's dome. for entrance gear, this Hogan was given a white t shirt with a red japanese Ichiban logo and some cool, translucent brown aviator shades. this hulk utilizes the original mattel hulk torso and they have been implementing it for the early year hogans figures as of late and i totally approve- this Ichiban figure looks as absolutely yoked as he truly was in real life. finally, Ichiban Hogan comes to the ring wearing some black trunks with white ichiban logo on the left hip area, small black kneepads, and silver/grey boots. all in all this is another cool hogan to add to our timeline of looks for the hulkster. i honestly really like the look of the standard figure over the chase, the colors on the lower body just jive much better than the chase offering. at this point i do kinda feel like 'hmmm i remember jakks making all of these figures too' and im just hoping mattel does a little switchup here and either slows down on the Hogan releases or makes them more exciting moving forward (somehow) there was a community thread talking about this and honestly we are at the point where all the core looks have been made for him and we're at the point of really specific looks or outfits to be done which kinda just caters to the hardcore Hogan collectors. we need a mattel Inoki now to fill out our championship timeline and go against both our Hogans and our Muhammad Ali figures!

Epic thread as alwaya. Just realized i gotta get that lex luger. Thanks monsoon thanks, brother 😎 yeah the Lex is a great piece to have! so colorful! so many new unique sculpts! CONTINUING OUR REVIEWS OF LEGENDS SERIES TWENTY TWOS WITH A ONE, TWO PUNCH, THREE PUNCH KNOCKOUT 🤛🤜👊 Legends Series 22Muhammad Alipunching, bobbing and weaving into the reviews today is the Elite debut of THE GREATEST, Muhammad Ali. this is a pretty straightforward figure; essentially just an elite version of his Mattel Creations Ultimate edition (there are no true exclusives left) however the execution is perfect and this is a great figure for the elite collectors. This figure comes to the ring wearing a white softgoods robe, the Ultimate edition figure had a robe made of a microfiber/terry cloth type material and this is just a straightforward standard mattel fabric material. it still hold up and looks great on the figure, just less authentic than the ultimate edition figure. this robe also features his name printed on the back in black font. This figure utilizes the straight faced expression headsculpt we saw utilized on his ultimate figure (and we will see again in the legends of the territory pack)--its a good headsculpt, it portrays a fair bit of likeness to the legend however i really prefer that teeth bearing, aggressive sculpt we saw on the ultimate figure. this figure utilizes the same style torso as his ultimate; not super ripped or defined; pretty sure this is the standard Rock torso. this torso looks and works great for Ali as he was athletic but not too muscular or overly defined. the figure was given black boxing gloves and some interchangeable fisted hands and holding hands. i actually had a lot of fun posing this figure around, i dont have any other boxing specific figures (other than ali or bob orton) but i do really like that mattel made the boxing hands interchangeable you could literally put them on anyone and have a boxing rules match, very fun for fantasy booking stuff. Ali comes to the ring wearing some white boxing shorts with black stripes going down the outside of each leg and then finishing up this figure are some white striped socks poking above some short shooter style boots. all in all this was a cool little addition to the legends line. im reading that alot of collectors have about had their fill of Ali figures thus far and i can sort of agree. im not an Ali historian by any means-if anything these figures will make me research his work more, but its just a strange addition to our collections as far as eras and available talent to pose against is concerned. it was cool to see Ali get both a mattel creation Ultimate figure exclusive and an elite line release so collectors of each respective line get a chance to own this....LEGEND!

Legends Series 22The SultanBeing Summoned in today is actually a surprising entry to the legends line---The Sultan, yes the 90's gimmick given to the Big 'Kish has arrived to our collections in mattel elite form. right from the getgo i want to say this is a SOLID figure, i was surprised to see this figure pop into the line and even more surprised at the level of detail mattel was able to dedicate to bringing this figure to form. Starting off with the entrance gear, this figure was given a sculpted and detailed cone hat with chainmail detailing and gold medallion on the front; the hat both looks and fits the figure great. alongside the stylizied cap the Sultan comes to the ring wearing a softgoods entrance cape, the cape is made of a really soft almost microfiber type cloth that is printed brown with some 'stained glass' style designs on the outside edges of the cape. the inside of the cape is a red color and the cape secures to the figure by little laces to be tied around the neck. the headsculpt on this figure is great, although masked the sculpting and paint apps capture the Sultan in an intimidating, wide eyed glaring expression and it looks rad! the figure has a sculpted braided black ponytail and dark red colored face mask with gold detailing. mattel also included sculpted detailing for sultan's large golden hoop earrings. for the upper body mattel did a really cool sculpted detail on Sultan's top, he is wearing a tan colored tank top style shirt with sculpted geometric detailing. True to the actual attire, Sultan only has a wristband on his right arm. mattel also went as far to sculpt him a new waist sash and accurately painted it. the portion of the sash hanging from the tie off is actually articulated so you can move it when sultan does a sit down splash. Sultan comes to the ring wearing some dark red/maroon striped pants and mattel sculpted the detailing on each stripe. finishing up this figure are some brand new kickpad style boots with the iconic Sheik style pointed toe. All in all despite being a somewhat obscure? not really super successful character, mattel actually went the mile and did this figure up. we have been seeing alot of Rikishi figures in the line lately, so who knows maybe a new deal was made or theyre at the end of a deal, who knows but this is an all around 'cool figure'. i really like all of the new unique sculpts that mattel provided to this figure along with a super quality softgoods cape. i always kinda did like the look of the Sultan character for how intimidating and BANE-like the character came off as. although im not the leader of the Sultan fan club this figure does actually border on MUST HAVE just due to the levels that mattel went to to bring it to this form for us.

Just reading your thread again and i realized that im re building my collection for the 3rd , 4th or even 8th time. Some of us may just enoy collecting more than we enjoy owning a collection lol. its the thrill of the HUNT 😈 honestly with the Wal Mart Ruthless Aggression and now the Monday Night Wars line i started getting thoughts of tapping out. just so ungodly frustrated that the innocent hobby i chose for fun is a massive PITA and 90% a waste of my time and energy. i think this is the day and age for Toys R Us or a similar entity to emerge, like a retail chain that JUST does figures and toys and gets all the exclusives and has employees that dont accept figswaps back. ANYWAYS HAPPY FIGURE FRIDAY Y'ALL i was on a work trip to the last area that i found the MNW Series 2 figures. i hit up 4 wal marts; on the VERY LAST WAL MART i was sifting through the figures on the pegs, Hogan, Undtertaker, Diesel, Kevin Nash.....OH WAIT HOLD ON i ripped the figures off the pegs and guess what...SIKE they were figswapped. i was furious and stormed out of the store. the utter trash it takes to do this stuff is just, like id literally punch someone in the face for this. like if the guy that did it was right next to me in the aisle and started laughing when i showed my disgust, yeah i would have hit him. trash. FINISHING UP THE REVIEWS FOR LEGENDS SERIES 22 TODAY 🥳 Legends Series 22Captain Lou Albanosailing in today is the infamous and legendary Captain Lou Albano! right out of the gate i will say this was my most anticipated figure from the lineup, i have a huge soft spot for managers in wrestling and im so stoked that mattel was able to offer us this legendary manager from the new gen era. starting off with the headsculpt, man this is a thing of beauty mattel NAILED the likeness to capt lou, this headsculpt IMO is on levels of photorealism A+++. Lou is sporting his classic curly brown hair and rubber banded beard all while giving his trademark wide eyed looking expression. mattel even went as far to add sculpted details for the rubber band on his cheek and the paint details include shading and everything, it looks ACE, bravo mattel. it appears as if mattel reintroduced the paul bearer body for this guy, i didnt remove the softgoods or vest for pics but this is not an older body recipe. Capt Lou comes to the ring wearing his iconic caricature art tshirt and a blue and red vest with white Captian Lou Albano logos over the top. finishing up this figure are some black pants and some ADIDAS style kicks. for accessories, Capt Lou was given the 24k gold record that can be broken over someone's head. all in all this figure was most definitely the GEM of this series for me. mattel absolutely nailed the headsculpt and likeness and im so glad that they also had the new re-tooled body recipe for him. this figure is 10/10 in my book MUST HAVE, needs a spot in the collection. i love seeing managers and having managers in the line so hopefully we get some more classic legends like Mr. Fuji and Slickk Legends 22 final thoughs Legends 22 was a pretty decent offering of characters. definitely a "legends" batch of characters, Hogan, Ali and Albano from the 70s/80s and then Sultan from the 90s. i think a few of us are experiencing Hogan and Ali burnout, as always super grateful that mattel is providing us these characters and looks into our collections but lets bench Hogan for a few series. Ali was a cool chance for people who didnt get the MattelCreations figure to have some sort of representation in the line, it was cool to get a boxing figure aswell something different there but again im not sure that the poeple in the game at this stage were apart of that and have strong emotional ties to seeing Muhammad Ali in a wrestling line. Sultan was a very well done up figure, cool to see that figure get the elite line treatment, but going back to it i dont know that alot of people were begging for Sultan. Lou Albano was the winner of this series by a mile. the figure was just done up stupendously well and it is a character that has not had alot of modern representation but mattel made up for lost time. coming off of the Hogan/Sheik/Andre/Jimmy Hart wave i was pretty excited for this series probably at about a 3/4 excitement level.

Happy SUPERSTAR saturday y'all! pretty nonchalant week for me; i was out on a little business trip for the week and i hit up 5 walmarts and came home with nothing new. 😔 i hit the road on Thursday and saw a bunch of E108 figures out on the pegs and shelves, but i was specifically hunting for the MNW series 2 which i saw no traces of anywhere. since i havent been buying in store, ofcourse my ebay purchases have been on the uptick and ive got some classic elites that i brought home to shed some light on. been scoping out some GREAT deals that ive been kinda proud of BUT THE MONETARY VALUE ISNT THE POINT its all about the figures. being a conservator for these little plastic dudes is whats its all about--giving them a loving home where they will be loved and appreciated and conserved for everybody and future generations to appreciate 🫡 ANYWAYS i made an instagram page where i post pics of my figure findings and similar figure pics please gimme a follow ig: monsoonmanfigscoming in with a BIG SHOW SATURDAYElite 4 Big ShowWELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL towering in to the collection today is the Big Show. its been a hot topic for me to bring up lately but dang im just so miffed that we arent able to get any mattel Giant / Paul Wight / Big Show figures right now. he was all up in the Monday Night Wars in WCW as BOTH Giant and Big Show. lots of looks that mattel skipped over when doing flashback figures, corporate big show, ruthless aggression era big show, wcw giant ultimate edition, big show ultimate edition.. yeah hopefully one day. today we're going all the way back in the line to elite series 4 to Big Show's debut into the elite line. this figure and attire are from Night of Champions 2009 and it was an interesting period in Shows career where he really switched up his look and wore a Blue singlet and sported a chin goatee. the headsculpt on this figure looks great, it portrays Show in a sort of straight faced, stern, focused expression and it captures Show's likeness great! i can see Paul Wight in in sculpting of this figure from all angles, so really great job for Show's first elite. going down the figure, mattel gave Show his own unique body mold and it looks great, very proportionate. mattel provided SHow with all of his tattoos, both of his bicep tattoos are present and colored, his lower leg and back 'Bess' tattoo also present and looking good. the unique feature of this figure is that mattel decided to give this figure a softgoods singlet instead of just jumping into a sculpted singlet torso mold. i bought this figure loose on ebay and its still in great condition for being 10+ years old figure but these early era mattel softgoods have a tendency to fall apart after time. the threading on the singlet straps are a little worn out but as i mentioned the color and the rest of the singlet is still holding up strong. finishing up this figure are some tall black boots. all in all this was a great figure for being all the way back from elite 4. i got this one on ebay for like $20 shipped loose and i felt like it was a good deal. as you can see in the pics the eyebrows are a bit worn and the singlet is showing its age on the straps but the singlet color is still a nice vibrant blue, the tattoos all still look good, and paint apps to the eyes and goatee look good. it was a score in my books.
