I was always a bit curious and interested in Roadblock since the ‘90s. He seemed like a 1989-1994 WWF Gimmick toned down. Do you think if around ‘89 Joe D’Aquisto (the man with the gimmick) tried to contact WWF and Vince with the gimmick turned up…with his size and everything, Vince would have jumped at the gimmick or looked at his size and made him a big menacing monster heel? I could personally see him doing well in that 5 year period in the WWF. I kinda wanted to know what everyone else thought.

Maybe he couldve been a 3rd member of The Natural Disasters, especially when one of them would be out of action. But the big, fat jobbers like him put over Lex Luger huge in 1996-1997.

He actually did a fan run in, in a 1980s match between Hogan and One Man Gang. According to Wrestling Classics board he met Hogan at a gym, asked about becoming a wrestler, Hogan blew him off. When Hogan and Gang had a match that night Road Block jumped the rail and chased after Gang. Some say he took down Gang and "pinned" him, security got to him and he was arrested. I'm pretty surprised no one mentioned that yet. I thought it was a well known story. I imagine if WWF wanted to sign him they would have done so there. I'm sure Vince would love to sign a guy he can mold into his own character after he takes down a guy like Gang who wasn't a WWF home grown talent.

He had quite the mullet going for him when he made it into the "Introducing" section in one of the Apter magazines. Fast forward a few years, he grew it out & somehow got uglier. Plus, he had man-boobs. No one likes having/showing man-boobs.

The guy was huge, and Vince knew how to create memorable monsters back then. With the WWF marketing machine, I could envision him having been a viable midcard guy for years.
