use a hand that is molded for holding.
either let it sit in ultra hot water for a few minutes, or use a hairdryer to get the plastic warm and pliable.
when the hand is soft, use an exacto knife to separate the middle finger from the rest of the hand. heat up the hand again and then extend the middle finger out and then fold the rest of the hand/fingers as they would be naturally--then dunk the hand in ice water to set it.
you can see the process in this video

You can take Matt Hardy shocker hands, remove the tape paint with acetone*, heat it up, fold down the pinky and index fingers and glue em into place.
*Correction. The hands are cast in white so will need to paint the tape in flesh color.

Didnât he do the gesture the other way round, so you see the inside of the finger not the outside?

Didnât he do the gesture the other way round, so you see the inside of the finger not the outside? No, can look on his Instagram. He posted that he's doing one of his last rounds of printing them and taking orders at the moment. I bought like 6 pairs of middle fingers and 6 pair of 2 sweet, definitely worth it. Good dude too, easy to deal with. Edit: oh you meant Austin doing the gesture the other way around. I'm pretty sure he's done the gesture both ways often enough. Still waiting on my package to come in from 14 but I'm pretty sure the hands he prints go both ways too just like any Mattel hands.

Yeah Austin - apart from once with Vince (I think) during a promo I always recall austin putting the bird up backwards

Austin always birdied people front on, usually before a stunner. He did often do it backwards in celebration or during his entrance on the ropes though.
I tried to make these using the method above and separating the finger using hot water then cold waterâŠit worked really well but after a day or two the finger started to dropâŠwhat am I doing wrong? It obviously hasnât âsetâ enough?

I still say the Ultimate should have come with pixelated censored hands. If you ever played the WWF games on Nintendo 64, when Austin would give the double birds, a circular pixelated censor would appear over his hands. I always thought that was funny and a clever idea for a figure. Then you tuck them somewhere theyâre not visible in the packaging so you donât get some Karen bitching to Target management.

The rapid cooling of the freezer should set it better. Thatâs what I do.
