I think the headbangers and Effy look great, Chelsea looks alright. Cabana and Chioda look awful

Anyone catch Hasstel Toys videos on Instagram last night. Heard that he took the first one down as he was pretty pissed with Myers and Cardona's reviews of his figures?

1) Yes I know I need to charge my phone
2) I want to wait to order anything from this series until I see how they turn out. In the past I have bought from Figure Collections but this example of the first figure in their new series has me uncertain of their QC:

Those female figures look like Charapros more than Hasbros.

I agree that Mosh and Thrasher look okay so far. Cabana looks like a cross between a Charapro and a blown up cake topper, and who the hell is Effy?

We had to submit Chelsea's packaging pretty early on in the process several months ago. The figures you see on the back were early designs! Effy & Chioda at that point were colorized 3D renders. What we have for Colt is better than what you see on the back of Chelsea's card. Also, for the peeps who don't recall, Chioda used to hold up that hand pose when he would signal a 2 count, much more than the standard "peace" hand for two. With that said, he will be released with alternate hands so you can have'em however you like!


Fun fact: I don't think we've really publicly stated this, but FC Toys was started by two guys who met thanks to Wfigs way back in 2002. JoSh is one of my absolute best friends and without him neither BCW or WSW would be happening. We're always around to answer questions, take in feedback, or chat figures. He's also the brains behind the Figure Collections database/app that has over 50,000 figures with a collection manager feature! If you haven't messed around with that yet I strongly encourage you to do so!

I appreciate the thoughtful response. Speaking for myself, I nitpick and criticize because I want things to be better or how I envision something and not at all because I think I can do better. That said, please allow me to dive into this new information:

I’m a little confused what you mean about submitting her packaging. Does that mean that it didn’t get fine-tuned in order to prevent any legal troubles with a certain large company?

That makes more sense that they were renders.

It isn’t my place to tell you what to do but as a figure collector and as a fan I AM TELLING YOU to get the word and the images out on Colt. The first images kind of did him dirty and in my eyes made me question this brand. I buy from everyone and vote with my dollars. I F’N love Colt but would not buy that figure as it was shown. I can’t imagine that I’m the only one who felt that way so consider it an investment to get the word out that you are making improvements and make sure they hold up to scrutiny. It worked for Mitch and it should work for you as well. I strongly feel like this is where this brand should start.

I recognized and appreciated the Chioda hand right away. Alternate hands are a must for ref figures so that is a great call on the part of whoever made the decision! That said…his face and hair need work. He was a thinner guy and I’m not sure the open mouth expression would be a top choice.

Didn’t know you guys met because of these forums nor did I know he was the one behind that database (great website btw). It is a positive sign that you are open to feedback. I think there has been some heavy criticism involving the name, the packaging, and the look of some of the figures. Hopefully that isn’t taken too personally as you can’t please everyone all of the time. Taking a fair look at the feedback and weighing it against what you can control should lead to product improvements and hopefully increased sales over time from satisfied customers.

The issue is when they ignore problems completely on other lines

ZST’s sabu for instance is very hard to stand and falls over st the slightest look in its direction. They conveniently left that out while we’re happy to publicise Chella’s Adam bomb being hard to stand when it was barely attempted to stand it up.

Matt went on a tirade about a company not hitting a deadline, radio silence about zst missing his deadline last week for figures leaving the factory.

Fairs fair if you point out issues consistently across all lines but not when you pick and choose who you critique

Has anyone gotten a rush shipping notification for Larry Jonah or roadblock yet ? Rush posted on Instagram shipping the 16th but didn’t specify if that was from overseas or to customers. Given the time that has passed I would hope that shipping date would be to customers.
