I haven’t seen Zombie do anything like trademark a wrestler in another country and tell the family of that wrestler they can meet them in court in that country. Not for nothing but didn’t KWK say Zombie did something pretty similar with his pins? I can’t keep up. As far as I know, he used likenesses and names without permission/payment. Not the right thing to do by any stretch but it was a smaller scale hustle. Not too far off from what we see from a lot of Etsy, FB, and IG customizers and artists. I’m not condoning it as it isn’t fair to the talents involved but his approach was different than KWK’s “screw your grieving family; come fight me in Chinese court.” It’s safe to say both figure makers are learning from their mistakes the hard way.

New line coming from Mitch! http://instagram.com/p/Cw51lVtOCSg I know there are some who think this waters things down…but there are plenty of people I would love to see in this form factor. Will they be any good? Time will tell! I've no real interest in movie Hasbro figures, but his Bulldogs look great... But I'm confused as I thought the 3 versions of Bulldog were a Chella, and thus now an Epic, thing.

The original Chella concept for the '93 Bulldog looked excellent, but I remember seeing that prototype and being really underwhelmed, the tassels especially were off-putting. The new molds from Mitch look fantastic, and I really can't wait to see them finished.

Vader is also pretty badly out of scale, even with the other Mattel retros. I stuck him in the back of my display to kind of hide him because he's not one of my favorites. he happened to land next to Giant Gonzalez, who's back there because he's too big to be up front. Vader stands almost eye to eye with Gonzalez and a full head taller than Mattel Flair next to him. I know Hasbros/retros are never a dead on scale, but Vader shouldn't be the same height as the supposed 8 foot tall Giant Gonzalez

But nevertheless Vader appears to be a little too tall. The figure itself isn’t that good either. Its proportions remind me more of an aged Vader. Obviously they were going for the old Andre mold, which is great. But the execution leaves alot to be desired…

Vader is a real disappointment, but most of these Mattel retros really aren't of interest to me because so many are badly executed. That being said, Vader needed a retro figure.

Zoom in and you’ll see.

Another attire he never wore? did he not wear that? genuinely asking. i feel like it looks familiar, but it is also a pretty 90s color scheme so i might just be imagining it

Same with Mo. I’d say these are not accurate but could very well habe been a repaint by Hasbro. The attires have not always been dead on accurate especially with repaints. These get a pass from me. Since they are extremely limited it doesn’t matter anyway.

Easiest way to justify a purchase 😂

This way they would habe differed a little more on the shelf (think about Razor/ Shawn with yellow and blue card or Bret Hart, Mr. Perfect and Undertaker with their respective releases). The excl decal / proce sticker lookalike is a great idea and a nice touch, but a different color packaging would have been great. Especially at the increased price with thos limited items…

I'm not overly concerned with accurate attires either as long as they look good and they pop, but obviously it also depends on the wrestler.
Packaging wise I'm not really a MoC collector, but I've kept a few on card and imo if you're gonna go MoC then having a really attractive packaging is key. ReAction figures, for instance, are all about the packaging as the figures are obviously so basic.

A little off topic, but, has anyone seen the prototypes for the upcoming Super 7 Misfits/Danzig/Samhain Remco/MoTU figures due out next year? Gonna be buying all of those for sure.

I would be totally into these if there was any way to get the WWE Superstars overhere in Germany. But it is almost impossible to find anything under 45 €. Without the main line, this style is nothing for me…
