What happened to KwK’s Kamala? I was told it was addressed in some podcast? Have no clue what or where to find this. Anyone got the lowdown? I’m guessing he just lost the rights for some reason? Shame. That Kamala figure looked amazing. Discussed in tomorrows episode of the 3points of articulation with him. Basically thought he had an agreement but did not Really? That’s a shame. I still stand by that that was the best retro style figure I’d seen yet, from anyone.

Just watched Cardona open the Rush retros. LMFAO. People pay real money for that crap. I'm one of those people who paid money for that crap and Matt wasn't just busting balls for nothing, the figures from rush suck. I thought the aldis from chella was a rough first release but these killed the line for me.

Did yours, or anyone's here, break apart like that? so Rush's factory also made Ahmed Johnson, and it's clearly obvious in the Rush images that if you rotate the waist or arms of Roadblock or Larry that it opens the seam just like people have shown Ahmed's figure coming apart
there is no way Rush can come back from this. it's one thing to put out a substandard figure like Larry, if the rest of the line makes up for it. but Roadblock looks worse than a $1 store toy, Larry isn't even moulded in the flesh coloured plastic, so his entire body is just painted on. and when CVV lands, people are going to hate it even more than just the neck issue

great video showing the disparity in commentary between the two lines
my only challenge to your comment about "they're not Mattel, they're not making these at scale" is that should not be an excuse for not having ANY level of quality control. this is really basic stuff - Rush took 13 months to design and manufacture figures that people had pre-ordered based on concept art, and their factory couldn't even match in production.
and then the factory produced something so low in quality that minor movement (of an "action figure") causes it to split apart. we know Chinese quality is cheap and bad, but Rush seem to have gone to new lows with this. there's no way back IMO

Haha…Come again?? Why would I BS that I got an $8 refund for being over charged? Behave Because he has been known to lurk here and we were talking about how he was demanding an extra $8 or have your order cancelled and then 1 person says they got $8...makes me suspicious. Telling me to behave makes me even more suspicious lol 😉 I said to behave because it sounds a little ridiculous to me that you’d think I’d come on a message board to say that I got an $8 refund from ZST for over paying on postage to the UK when I have zero ties to the man and have never ordered from him before. If I could add a picture here from my banking app just to prove it I would.

Just watched Cardona open the Rush retros. LMFAO. People pay real money for that crap. LOL That’s ridiculous. They look terrible aesthetically, and they’re apparently of horrible quality as well. This is why I support ZST. Because his product is tremendous. Plain and simple. People can talk smack about the guy all they want, but his product is legit. These other startups are burying themselves by trying to compete with him.

When saw Matt's video of Roadblock I did think "wow, that's a pretty cheap looking figure." So many of these retro figures have been short of the mark, including Mattel's. What is it about Hasbro WWF figures that's so difficult to properly replicate? Just goes to show how great they really were.

To be fair, there's a fair few issues with some of ZST's figures as well, notably Danhausen, Dino, Sabu and Jarrett, with peeling decals, smudged paint and an inability to stand.

To be fair, there's a fair few issues with some of ZST's figures as well, notably Danhausen, Dino, Sabu and Jarrett, with peeling decals, smudged paint and an inability to stand. not to mention, he's only actually delivered 7 figures to date. only Dino, Cardona and maybe Jarrett stand up in terms of Hasbro-esque quality
the rest basically look like high-priced customs, but they're not worth $50 each (especially not when you consider SDCC Sabu was a repaint, not even a redesigned figure so still has the same problem as the green design)
and for all of Zombie's bravado about "My figures are the best out there", they may well be, but no-one has them yet. there's a "Coming soon" list of signed talent that is longer than a New York City phone directory, and he's only produced a handful of figures so far, and still can't tell customers when the next batch will be on their doorstep. the fact people overlook this failure every time is laughable - yes, he's made some quality figures, but he's hardly living up to his own hype.
none of these companies so far have done anything to demonstrate they're capable of delivering at scale. yet they're all competing against Mattel, a company which treats the Retro style as an after-thought, so the actual market is wide open for a dedicated company that can deliver quality figures to your door, in a matter of weeks from order to receipt. and so far, literally none of them have done this.

Anyone else find it mildly amusing that Matt Cardona - a wrestler whose (amongst other things) role/job is to sell both the delivering and receiving of a beating - "struggled" to seperate/pull apart that ZST figure? The guy is jacked to the gills and looks like he could run through a brick wall, and yet he was struggling to rip apart a Retro figure?
Either way, very disappointing from RUSH's standpoint. You only get one opportunity to make a first impression, you had 13 months to get it right, you have a less-than-stellar announced line up in comparison to others, and the market is flooded with existing and better quality competitors....you're done.
And for what its worth, I largely like ZST's product, it's not perfect, and for an international customer the shipping costs are horrendous..but I'm completely wiping my hands of anything to do with RUSH both now and in the future. Condolences to anyone who paid their hard earned money, waited an age and got....well, that....

Size doesn’t necessarily = strength Cesaro is considered one of the strongest and if you watch some of his work out stuff it’s insane Likewise strong men don’t have big defined muscles etc.

Will re-word my point then as; "the visual of a man with Matt Cardona's build "struggling" to pull apart/break a Retro Wrestling figure, be it ZST, Epic, RUSH, Mattel or G&G, considering his current and previous employment history, was quite comical to me"

Roadblock and Larry were enough for me to see there's no way back from this, they can't hope to maintain the faith of buyers in a crowded market, with a "Look, we'll do better next time"
I'm sure Sal's a great guy, but he can't be short-sighted enough to see that this is going to have broken the confidence of anything Rush does going forward
probably best to wind up now, rather than make stuff no-one buys, or worse still, people buy and receive this again.

Rush was done months ago. This dilemma is no surprise.

I don't think Matt was intentionally trying to pull the figures apart, he said as much in the video.
Either way, he didn't even have to try.

So when I received my Larry , and had disappointment how it looked, I listed it on eBay. I got a substantial amount of money for it 4.5x the cost of the figure , now I feel extremely bad for the purchaser of the figure. I hope they decide to keep it moc and not open it. Tho it’s not my fault the quality of it ,, I feel guilty selling it now at that price, the figure wasn’t even worth the cost of my initial investment of 24.99.

You were trying to make a profit, which is fair enough. Personally, though, none of these retro figures are worth the price that people list them for. I don't even feel most custom figures warrant the prices people charge for them, except some of the really well made ones.
