A little off topic, but, has anyone seen the prototypes for the upcoming Super 7 Misfits/Danzig/Samhain Remco/MoTU figures due out next year? Gonna be buying all of those for sure. I would be totally into these if there was any way to get the WWE Superstars overhere in Germany. But it is almost impossible to find anything under 45 €. Without the main line, this style is nothing for me…

Without the main line, this style is nothing for me… I’ve been watching them on eBay from uk sellers and they’re all overpriced and not moving. Yet they won’t reduce down the asking price so the same ones keep getting relisted so I stopped. That’s the line I want most

Who was it on here that was told there’s no more stock available when his figures were crappy condition? Might want to have a word with zombie… Meanwhile series 2 are currently into their 12th week (3 months, a quarter…any way you look at it, a long time!) at sea. Phileas Fogg Circumnavigated the world in less time. I though no expense was spared in these “perfect” “premium” figures…guess that didn’t include transit since they’re travelling one below economy. This is the start of the 13th week at sea. In terms of childbirth that’s the beginning of the second trimester.

No shock by now that zombie figures arrive on their own time. It’s like calling the sky blue. At least you’ll know before series 3 it could take a while. By the looks of bundy and Raven, I’m content to wait. With any company making retros, if I like a figure enough to buy it, I also know not to hold my breath, and someday they will show up.

according to the latest update in the MWFP FB group, Series 2 figures are due into his warehouse "any day", and he won't put the next series of pre-orders up until the last shipment of S2 goes out (which seems awfully similar to the Epic business model of resolving the Chella fiasco...) seriously, Series 2 are STILL not in his warehouse, over 2 months (almost 3 full months) after he said they were shipped from China. Zombie must be the only person running a business who can't accept that shipping timeframes are part of his own responsibility. Imagine running a business where you have (tens of?) thousands of dollars worth of inventory just out there, somewhere, in the ether, with no knowledge of a delivery date..... whilst simultaneously telling your entire customer base that "they're due any day now" for over 2 months and repeating this daily as if it's normal and to be expected. He could have had them delivered months ago. Not weeks ago, but months ago. He could have even set a realistic level of expectation with customers by quoting the due date for delivery, which he should have had from his shipping providers. The fact that he doesn't even publicise when they'll arrive shows there's no expense spent on this shipment. Epic are saying that their plan for preorder to shipping to customers will be a 12-week window. Zombie can't even get his own products delivered to his warehouse in 12 weeks....

That certainly is a take. Like of all the things to be mad at someone for…shipping from overseas usually aint it. Fair that maybe he should go a different route in the future. This is a perfect example of where transparency would help to strengthen relationships with customers.
Other notes of interest from the statement “Zombie” Josh Sailor made:
-Next preorder is the death match 2 pack with Nick Gage and Matt Cardona. They will produce 2000 or less of these. These are supposed to leave the factory no later than November 19.
-Smart Mark will be put up for preorder around that same time as well (less than 1500). This should leave the factory mid October.
-All new NYCC figure will be made (over 1000 made). This also is supposed to leave the factory in mid October.
-Black Strap Andre is supposed to be in hand and on sale for Black Friday (as previously announced in July).

That certainly is a take. how is it "a take"?
he's importing products from China, which most businesses across the world do. only he can't even tell when he's going to receive his own products, which is something most businesses would balk at given their business would collapse without knowing where their inventory is
I guess this is why he's using the pre-order system, because that way he's got the cash without needing the goods
and he's got no plans to give up that gravy train for a long time - he could easily have used the profits from the multiple sales of Series 1 he's carried out to date, plus the profits derived from Series 2 so far (there's bound to be a few more times "sold out" S2 figures reappear from outta nowhere for sale through his site) to fund the production of Series 3 figures so they'd be on their way across by now. obviously not, he wouldn't do something as logical as invest money he already has into his own business to get products into consumers hands as fast as possible

This is common in virtually every industry. Delays happen for many different reasons. I wish he would be forthcoming about why there is a delay (even if he doesn’t know the real answer). I’m not here to defend Zombie but your take on this is distorted if not biased. It’s ok to be critical and even question how or why someone does something the way that they do. I agree with that and even brought it up to both Josh Sailor and Matt Cardona. This is what, the 4th shipment he has done? It is by far the longest delay we know about. You don’t always know you are going to have a problem until you do. This goes for every toy company. Hell, it is applicable to all industries. Better measures can and should be taken to avoid this in the future…but when it does happen, what are you going to be able to do? A more reasonable and mature take would be to offer regular, transparent updates. But at the end of the day, it isn’t making this shipment arrive any faster.

Nothing here I'm excited for, possibly Andre, but I'm on the fence on him, curious to see how the final version of the blue strap Andre looks in people's hands, think he doesn't look anything like a Hasbro though from what's been shown so far. Thought S3 was supposed to be in right after S2? Now some of those I really want mainly Power and Glory. Thought he was going to a system sililar to Major Bendies and the other stuff the MWFP guys sell, and putting them up for order when they're in hand.

I’m a little bummed that Series 3 isn’t going up right away but I fully understand the need to get out some of those other products as they are potentially less desirable as time goes on. Nick Gage might as well take on Glacier’s gimmick as he has completely cooled off. Cardona is on his third or fourth gimmick since that match took place. Smart Mark is doing just fine right now but he isn’t a central character on AEW or ROH so who knows if/when that run will end. Many of the purchases will be from Major Pod fans or YouTube subscribers.

As some of you guys now, I did all of Chella's logos/card designs etc up until the point that Epic took over... I was digging through some old files this evening and found a few that I thought some of you guys might find interesting. This was the vintage style packaging that we were working on for the British/World of Sport style figures. I thought they were looking really cool, and was a bit gutted when they never made it to production. Here is how the Haku card looked without the crown awkwardly teetering on top of his head. Personally I thought this was the better version. Not sure if there is any interest in seeing this kind of stuff, but thought I might as-well upload it while I am culling my old files. P.S - I didn't design the actual 'Chella' logo on the card fronts, that was already in-place when I jumped on-board during the production on Nick Aldis

I’m not sure if it would get more attention here or in this thread: forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/364536/epic-wrestling-megastars-tafka-chellaThe WoS packaging looks fantastic and unique. There is something about it that reminds me of currency or a postage stamp and I mean that in the best possible way! Haku looks far better without a crown. There was never a need to add it to that picture unless they planned on releasing a “normal” Haku later on. Any insight as to when and why he was changed from a puncher?

When Haku was shown the initial figure illustrations he requested some changes personally, and one of those changes was to update the pose so he could do the Tongan Death Grip instead of the punch... I'm not sure why they sent the version with the crown to print, or why they added the massive random picture of Haku on the card back either. I had no part in that.
Hahah yeah the WoS packaging would have worked really nicely. It was a hark back to the classic wrestling posters of the era with the minimalist colours and eroded textures etc.

Like, were there any names in mind that we may not have known about?

I'm not sure what names were officially announced publicly for the WoS line (Johnny Saint etc?) but once Big Daddy/Haystacks/Adrian Street etc were announced for the normal Megastars line, I guess it diluted it a little

So Mitch came through with a Hollywood C-Lister that I might actually want as he does fit in with the Hasbro/wrestling era: http://instagram.com/p/CxEy0OnMgE6 Kurt Fuller was the main villain in No Holds Bared. He also had memorable roles in Ghostbusters II, Psych, Wayne’s World, The Running Man, and was in at least one episode of nearly every tv show in the 90’s. Go pre order it, JOCKASS!

THIS. I would love to hear the explanation of how we still don't have these 1 year later.
The only thing I could think is the entire run was produced incorrectly -- if so, how can he not communicate that at all?
