It’s a shame this thread has had such long legs.

If Cole signs a new deal after this, people are going to turn on him and fast. Why?

Wow, such a bummer. I feel absolutely terrible for all the wrestlers released today. So much talent. I really hope they all manage to get hired somewhere and shine.
Bronson Reed is a big surprise IMO. I really thought they had big plans for him on the main roster.
I was really hoping Mercedes Martinez would get some momentum going, then she got hurt in her match with Xia Li. She just didn’t seem to ever get her footing in NXT.
I also feel like Asher Hale and Ari Sterling were just getting going too. I was really looking forward to seeing more of them.

“Focus on younger talent” *Pushes Samoa Joe* The way this is going would any of us be surprised if Joe loses at TakeOver and gets released again?

Reed vs Miro? Yes please. Not really into Reed, but I’ll take anyone to beat that pile of yuck.

I think I read the total count is 52 wrestlers this year that have gotten the axe. That's a large number. Jaxson Ryker still has a job. Forget his whole personality he's just not even very good. Put me to sleep everytime he popped on screen. Forgotten Sons indeed. Wish I could.
Everytime these releases hit my first thought is always whose next. This is probably not the last wave either. Betting 1 or 2 more yet.

I actually meant like 1 or 2 more big waves over the next few months, but I guess my ambiguity was prophetic.

Mattel has to be crying rn looking at the lineups lmao.
I feel for the talent released tonight and throughout the year. I really liked Reed and Rust.

Interesting that this happened the very day they hired a new Senior Vice Pres. of Talent ID and development. But I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

IDK, I mean I’m sure WWE lost money this past year with no live events or house shows, but still. They gotta be selling the company
How many people were employed there is the better question. They released 50 people this year and still have full rosters for 3 separate shows!?
