Y'know there's just some wrestlers you can just type-cast as a face or heel? Like Ricky Steamboat and Tito Santana were just born faces, likewise Roman is just a natural heel. I think AEW is sitting on a gold mine with Wardlow when (and I say when) he turns face. AEW is known for their slow-burn storylines, and the fact that Jake Hager is building respect from his encounters with Wardlow, and that Wardlow isn't exactly always the guy instigating interference for the Pinnacle, speaks to the storyline arch his character is going.
We all know they'll be an eventual MJF/Wardlow feud, possibly over the AEW belt? But what I'm super excited about is the performer himself. He's the total package in terms of looks and his charisma is oozing even with the little mic time he gets. There's money to be made on Wardlow - agree? disagree?

Bigtime, and I think Khan has known it since the beginning. Wardlow was one of the original vignettes along with Sadie Gibbs (Who clearly didn't work out, but was someone they definitely had major major plans for). I don't know when the turn happens, or when he holds his first major title, but they won't be far apart from each other, and they'll both happen.

Oh hell yeah. If I'm booking Page is Champ #4, MJF #5, then Wardlow #6.
I think Wardlow has a really high ceiling. My concern with him coming into AEW was if he could continue to develop in ring and if he could promo. He's checked both of those boxes for me. Dude is going to be a big deal.

The face turn for Wardlow is gonna be such a huge pop from the fans. I hope it's a very slow burn between him and MJF like the Batista/Triple H story line was. It worked for Big Dave, it could work for Wardlow!
