I bought about 20 figures the last 30 days and I’ve had a ton of QC issues. I’ve got a Sheamus with a stuck neck, a Bray Wyatt and Erik each with a fused knee, a Baron Corbin with a busted thigh joint, a Goldberg with the top flap of his boot folded over and stuffed in the swivel joint between his calf and boot (how is that even possible?), Murphy and X-Pac with incredibly loose thigh joints, a Christian whose arm won’t rotate backwards, a Kyle O’Reilly whose shoulder joint slips out of place, and a Paul Ellering right arm with a left shoulder joint.
Maybe it’s because of the global pandemic and thinks are still wonky. I don’t know. I have never seen these many issues in a toy line before. Issues I’ve had with the WWE line before have been few and far between.
Edit: Add a Dusty Rhodes with fused thigh joints and a Lawler with a deformed arm. WTF?!

The head of the extra E85 Taker I picked up at Walmart barely moves side to side but very easily moves up and down.

I was a hard-core Jakks fan and just didn't like the face scans of mattel. So I took a few years off. As my bins of Jakks figures sat there, deteriorating, arms loose and falling off from sitting there, I grabbed a few Mattels. They were awesomely made, tight joints and quality products. Now everytime I buy one I wonder what the issue will be, usually it's the chest joint just flops which I hate. Sometimes an awful floppy head, a spinning waist. I love my first elite Seth Rollins, the TRU MIB. I had never upgraded him cause the figure is so well constructed and still in great shape. I finally upgraded him and I know the upgrade will have a floppy chest when it arrives.

I have had maybe 6 q/c issues since Mattel took over the wwe license in 2010. The last issue was the newest Top Picks Drew McIntyre but I feel that was my fault. Because I hate the McIntyre heads have the extra neck plastic which makes the figure look like it has neck flaps. So I always pop his heads off and cut the neck off from the beard to the ears. And seeing this figure isn’t designed to change heads you really need to heat it first and seeing I was in a rush I didn’t heat it and just tried to pull it off and ended up snapping the bottom of the neck stem. If I had just heated it it would have been fine.

I’ve taken a year off and now I’m trying to get caught up on Elites and I’m just running into issue after issue. I can only assume the pandemic has been negatively impacting the factories. Which I understand. It just sucks.

The quality ebbs and flows, I maintain 2013-2014 was the worst period for it

I don't buy many figures, but if I get QC issues it's usually in wonky/misplaced eyes.

There’s no such thing as WWE Mattel quality control

I only have three figures in my collection with glaring QC issues.
I have a Hurricane Elite with a fused ab joint and a Roman Reigns figure where the man-bun head has a huge splotch of black paint on the side of his face. The third one in my collection is my Elite Sheri figure whose left bicep is fused at an odd angle, meaning her arm is stuck out to the side.
Outside of that, it's just the occasional loose or stiff joint. Nothing too glaring or severe. I think the most recurring culprit I've had is ankles. So many loose or malformed ankles. I know that most people prefer having an ankle joint but really, considering that I just stick them on a shelf, if Mattel got rid of the ankle joint on all their figures tomorrow, I'd probably be happy about it.

My Kama came in the mail yesterday and he has a few QC issues. The upper torso paint has bubbled and the red is showing through the skin, the skin tone is also overlapping the straps of the singlet, the white lines on the sides of the singlet are sloppy, there's paint missing from his hair and the ratchet joints are frozen solid.
I've had various QC issues over the years - but this is the worst I've had on a single figure.

It is objectively getting worse with each passing year. I am starting to get frequent instances where you can hear a piece of chipped off loose plastic rattling inside the torsos. Has anyone else had this?

Has anyone else had this? I unfortunately have had this with a UE Triple H. Got annoyed and tried to crack the torso to fix it. Long story short even with watching 'how to' videos it did not work for me. Have read many for sale descriptions with the same problem described.

Can't tell if this is a thread from 2018 or from now.
Mattel's quality control has been spiraling for awhile now. I have tons of figures that are so loose that they flop around when I shake them. I have plenty of figures that have joints that are stuck in place. Paint apps are all over the place. The new FX scans get printed on totally off center with a lot of figures. I have gotten a ton of figures lately that I plan on keeping MOC, but they have black paint scuffs on them in the box.
Even beyond quality control, they just make bad figures sometimes. They are obviously cutting corners on attires and molds. I still can't believe Bill went on Instagram live and defended that HORRENDOUS Ringside Exclusive Bray Wyatt.

QC has always been an issue. Mass produced products or not.

Most elite Roman Reigns have helicopter hips, which is weird because the original Shield figures never had this issue in my experience. He desperately needs a new lower body mold. Every Andrade i bought also had a super loose ab crunch. Just a lot of loose figures overall for years now

All my Goldbergs have issues with their right arms. When you move the arms, they grind against the shoulder socket and get stuck. My elite summerslam Kane also came with an unpainted side of his singlet. This is exactly why Mattel should just cast the singlets as skintone. There's no way to fix this unless I paint it and match the exact skintone.

Never on an elite or ultimate edition

You know, one issue that bugs me senseless is the wide-arm effect some figures have. So many of my women's figures have arms that won't go anywhere near their sides. One of the biggest culprits of this is Milk-O-Mania Steph. I've had three of them now and each one looks like she wants to transport beer barrels her arms are out so far.
A bunch of men have this issue too but Milk Steph is probably the most glaring of the Women that I've had. I hate it so much. Just let me give them neutral poses!
