It is so sad that one of my all-time favorites is gone. As said before, he should have been a World Champion at some point.

Sad to hear, such a great talent. Probably should have been the guy to beat Hogan first for the title. Winning it at the show in Toronto would have been great. He could have dropped it back to Hogan at the SNME when they wrestled in the cage to keep the Hogan/Andre match for WM3. Paul would have made a great IC champion too. An all-around great talent. Just for fun:

I would say, and I know this is sacrilegious, that Paul was a better 1980s heel than Ric Flair. He was more believable so it's a real shame he didn't get a short WWF title run and if he had been with JCP he may have edged out Flair for the #1 heel spot.
Paul had the look of a serious wrestler. Flair may have been the slightly better talent, able to do one hour matches with anyone but as a kid Flair didn't look the part and I figured Flair was even older than my grandfather (15 years older than Flair) and I think he even questioned how old Flair was. But I like and respect Flair a lot for his love of wrestling and just being a legend but I think between he and Paul, Paul should have been the choice if JCP could have gotten him earlier.
It's a shame he passed but at least he got to come home (I wonder if his body held out in the hospital to make sure he made it home) and at least he won't have to go through the severe bedridden stage of the disease.

Nice video. I think Mr. Wonderful should have went to JCP after his run with Hulk Hogan in the WWF and started a feud with Ric Flair. There wasn't a lot left for him in the WWF at the time, he just had an amazing run with the companies top guy, and wasn't going to supplant Hogan. He should have taken that run and gone to the next company and worked with their top guy. Orndorff would have fit in well in JCP and I imagine him and Flair would have had some great matches. Maybe he could have gotten a run with that belt.

My favorite promo of his was when he looked at the camera and said how so many women just left their husbands.
