it's hard to see men who were the definition of strength both physically and in how they carried themselves break down to time, but it's the sad rite of passage we all must follow.
may he RIP

Rest in power to Mr. Wonderful.
I've mentioned it several times here in WF, but I will always believe that Orndorff should have been the man to end Hulk's first title reign. That feud was white-hot, and during the Golden Era, that was saying something.

Orndorff was the first heel I remember really hating as a kid during his early 90's WCW run. He was a natural heat magnet and had one heck of a career. I didn't realize he was in such poor health - I thought he had been on some WWE Network programming within the past few years.
RIP

That feud was white-hot, and during the Golden Era, that was saying something. To me Orndorff is one of the more interesting "what ifs" in wrestling. If he hadn't had the arm injury and/or had beat Hogan, you'd have to think he remains a top heel through the late 80's and early 90's. He's only 40 in 1990, which should have still been prime years. Instead he was semi-retired and mostly bouncing around small promotions until he comes back to WCW in late 92. He had great runs as TV champ and with Pretty Wonderful. But nothing anywhere close to the top of the card run he had with Hogan.

RIP Mr. Wonderful. The only man who ever beat up Vader in nothing but flip flops.

Sad to hear, but it's also at least good to know he's no longer suffering either. It sucks how some people can get to very old age, in relatively good shape, while others bodies can just break down. Obviously the tole of wrestling on his body probably aided in his problem. One good thing I've seen here though, is he had that good family relationship. It's sad when you see someone pass, and you find out they did not get along with their children, or parents, or other family members. Thankful he had a family he loved, and who loved him back.

Sadly I knew this was imminent due to his health issues! He was a great one! One of the biggest stars when wrestling was popular in the mid 80s. I was fortunate to meet him a few years ago. I loved his mid 90s WCW theme song! A true legend and a man’s man!
RIP Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff!

From what I've seen, he had impeccable penmanship. Kind of a lost art now.
