Picking Cena and tatanka to put in a legends line was terrible idea. Just like putting another Jake Roberts figure figure in the line is. It really shows how out of ideas Mattel is. So they just re-release other characters and and some new belts like they are doing with bam bam. Also if this line and ultimates was "really" that successful they would not have to purge out non selling product. Not everyone was around for Bam Bam in 2011 or 15 so this is good and a new belt

Why is everyone so hateful about this clearance? Target is clearancing nearly every toy line... Marvel Legends, Ghostbusters, Tech Decks... This happens every time around this year. It's their "Summer Clearance Event." Relatively speaking, this is a good thing to help get newer figures on the shelf. I was at a Target and bought 3 Cena's because they were $6...
I have not seen Ultimate clearanced out, but I would buy any that I see on clearance!

I have not seen Ultimate clearanced out, but I would buy any that I see on clearance! Clearance sales benefits the consumer, but it hurts the retailers and the toymakers. "Clearance sales can attract bargain hunters that are typically new customers to your store. It's also a reward for loyal customers. But, most importantly, it opens up more shelf space for your best-selling items." - smartwerksusa That being said, clearance is still profitable to a company... They have all the logistical and statistical data need to run an effective and profitable clearance event. Is Target and Walmart hunting?? Are they being phased out similarly to K-Mart or Toys R Us?? The real bottom line is that clearance is a marketing tool. This could be interpreted as something that hurts Mattel, if we are talking about WWE toys. However, if you look at every "failed" series as a re-branding or a chance to refresh exclusive toy lines, then the argument could be made that clearancing out an old exclusive toy line helps retailers and the toymakers. If Legends die today, Mattel has several branding names and gimmicks that will take it's place. You should know that, you've been a collector for years! I will acknowledge that there are toymakers, clothing designers, food brands, and all sorts of items that get discontinued. That is the nature of the business. Still, these figures are elites regardless if there are branded as Top Talent (which also saw a mass clearance, and re-branded as Top Picks), NXT, Hall of Fame, Hall of Champions, Then Now Forever, Fan Takeover, Fan Central, Flashbacks, WrestleMania, or this beloved Legends line... Mattel has been thriving for a decede now! No one is hurting and everyone benefits. Clearance is a win win for all parties involved.

I want this line to do well but Mattel and target are sabotaging it at every opportunity.

I mean, you could just buy the Eddie as it is too.. is he red card or yellow tho Why do you need it to be clearanced to buy it, is my question? It’s been out for a long time now and if you really want it it’s only $20.

I don’t think I’ve seen an Ultimate at Target since late January. It’s crazy to think that stores still have them stocked.

My Target had a bunch of UE Machos a couple weeks ago. I just bought it full price this week from Walmart and all I really wanted was the coat and hat. Damn.

This is what happens when people buy 5-6 figs at a time to try and flip for profit. Eventually stock passes demand. Nothing about this surprises me. This is dead on. It gives the appearance of the figures selling well, so they get more. The. The dude ends up returning what doesn’t sell and we’re left with pegs of the same figure

My Target just keeps getting in more and more Weasel Suit Heenans.
I'd love to find Ultimate Macho Man on clearance, just for the sake of customizing figures or replacing the woefully undersized cowboy hats on the DM WM7 and Slim Jim figures.
The only ultimate editions I've ever seen in stores were Nakamura and Ronda Rousey; I don't even know if my Target still carries them.

People like you need to realize that there are collectors who started after you did and don't want to pay 100+ dollars for older figures.
