So I had been a WwF fan when I was little from 1990, but it wasn’t til 1992 that I begged my dad to take me because my favorite Bret The Hitman Hart was the world champion. I begged and begged and begged to go see the hitman with the world title and he finally relented and here is that card.

Lance Cassidy pinned Terry Taylor with a backslide
The Berzerker pinned Tito Santana when the momentum of a flying bodypress by Santana put Berzerker on top
Tatanka pinned Damien Demento with the Samoan Drop
The Undertaker defeated Razor Ramon via disqualification when Razor used the urn as a weapon
Crush defeated Papa Shango via submission with the head vice
Bob Backlund pinned Kamala with a roll up after Kamala accidentally hit Kimchee on the apron; after the bout, Kamala and Kimchee fought until Harvey Wippleman intervened
The Nasty Boys defeated WWF Tag Team Champions Ted Dibiase & IRS via disqualification when Dibiase broke up a cover after IRS sustained Saggs' flying elbowsmash
As a kid I obviously didn’t know how house shows work! I was devastated.

So I tried again for the January show that had Bret advertised but my dad said no cause he didn’t particularly enjoy himself so I my Uncle eventually agreed to take me.

WWF IC Champion Shawn Michaels pinned Marty Jannetty; the bout was scheduled to take place before intermission but Jannetty attacked the champion before the bell sounded; Sgt. Slaughter then appeared and said the match would go on regardless of Michaels' condition and it was postponned until after intermission
The Headshrinkers defeated Owen Hart & Koko B. Ware when Fatu scored the pin with the top rope splash
The Undertaker pinned Papa Shango (sub. for Nailz)
WWF World Champion Bret Hart pinned Ric Flair at 27:15 with an inside cradle as Flair attempted the figure-4; after the match, Flair knocked Hart to the floor before leaving ringside
Obviously a much much better show. So yea interested in hearing about the first live wrestling you saw in person.

Action Zone - 11/27/94: Diesel (sub. for Bret Hart) pinned WWF World Champion Bob Backlund in a No DQ, no count-out, no time-limit match to win the title at the 9-second mark following a boot to the midsection and a powerbomb; Diesel's involvement in the match was not announced until WWF Superstars aired that morning; it was announced on local TV during the Nov. 5-6 weekend that Randy Savage would be the guest referee for the originally scheduled Hart vs. Backlund match but that announcement was never mentioned again
That's right, I got to see Lex Luger defeat Tatanka on the very same night that New York fans got to see Diesel win the WWF Title off Bob Backlund!!!

I'd have to do some research as I can't remember the date but my dad was a huge Jack Brisco fan and back then as a kid the toughest guy I knew besides my dad was Harley Race. Let's face it when you are kid you think your dad is tough. But I thought Race was so tough but my dad always reminded me that Jack Brisco beat Race. So I was a huge fan of Jack Brisco even though I really had no connection except my dad liked him and he beat Harley Race. My dad took me to see a WWF event and it was basically because I wanted to see the man that beat Harley Race in person. Never mind the fact that by this point Race had lost a ton and had held the NWA title like 6 times after Brisco beat him. I didn't know I was a kid. But the event was in Atlanta at the Omni and the only things I remember about it are The Brisco Brothers vs The North-South Connection and Andre vs Studd. It was either 84 or 85, it was a long time ago.

My first show was WCW Nitro from 2/12/96. Attendance was so low that they had to sit everyone on one side of the arena to make it look like it was full attendance. Incredible to think that less than a year later they’d be selling out arenas just about every week. There were some dark matches but I don’t remember what they were. I specifically remember Johnny B. Badd wrestling. Here was the main card.

Konan d. Devon Storm
Arn Anderson d. Hulk Hogan
I remember being pissed that Hogan lost. Also my brother was so sad that he wanted to throw his Hogan foam souvenir away. 😂

Only matches I remember is Blackjack Mulligan winning a bunkhouse battle royal. Lanny Poffo wore a suit of armor.
And Roddy Piper pinned Adrian Adonis. I very clearly still remember the last 30 seconds of this match like it happened yesterday.
