Please check page 11 in the "Obscure Classic Wrestling Pics" it has a photo of Million Dollar Man during a 1991 Hasbro photo shoot and shows a Macho Man with long black pants with some colors on them which would have been in his early cowboy macho king era.
I doubt this was a custom made specifically for the photo shoot and to the best of my knowledge nothing has ever been mentioned of this figure before. The skin tone is much lighter than the Macho King released too.
I seem to remember this photo shoot was for a WWF Magazine but don't remember the long pants version when I saw it. I would imagine the purple pants King was planned well in advance so maybe this new figure was planned well in advance for the 1992 series but still wasn't released.

No idea what you are referring to, however the Mini Royal Rumble ring comes with a mini version of Macho Man 3 with green/blue pants. It was always speculated that Macho Man 3 was supposed to be like this, but Hasbro just rereleased Macho King with Macho Man trunks minus crown and scepter.

That sucks, it's still hard to tell in that photo. I remember seeing the original 1991 magazine article. It was a cool photo shot with even shots of some figures being painted. I guess I would have known it was a regular released looking at the magazine but it's been years. I still think it's hard to tell from the second shot. I guess you'd really have to see the actual photo in person to tell.

Thanks for this man -- it's clear here that it's a shadow. That's wild though -- the low-def version really makes it look like he's in tights. THanks again for sharing this

Also interesting that he doesn't have his accessories in the shot, but Duggan does.

It is 100% a shadow. You can see the flesh of the legs in the picture posted a few posts up
