There should really be considerations to extend the Macho pack. There may be another boost before the end, but that will certainly not be enough and after that the numbers will rise much more slowly, because then people will notice that they have missed the Macho pack and will practically pay more but get less. I understand the reason why a time limit was set for the Macho pack, but currently we get an average of 150 backers per day. That won't be enough and if you then take into account that the Macho pack will end soon, then I see black. They should also consider extending the project by 2 or 4 weeks. It can be a success, but if everything stays the way it is now, I think the project will fail. Or maybe add another figure for the last few days, although I think that this doesn't work for cost reasons. I am not familiar with the matter. Maybe you can still do something to get a decent boost for the last few days. If we make this project a success, the next projects will be much easier! People don't even know what they're missing out on. They will notice when the sets are presented on YouTube or elsewhere. The stage alone has to be huge if you know the scale of the figure. For 0 cost Mattel could just announce the next potential project and the goal for this one would be reached very quickly.

If you made $20,000 or more in ebay/online sales, you will get a 1099K in the mail to report to the IRS. That will be lowered to $600 next year. Its to crack down on gig economy that emerged due to the pandemic. What if you didn't use ebay and sold stuff on Mercari or in Facebook groups, how would they know? I'm not in America so just curious. This impacts all online sales, whether you sell on Ebay, Amazon, Mercari, Etsy, etc. You will receive a 1099 from any or all depending how you get paid. (via Ebay directly, Paypal, Venmo, etc)

Mattel and Steve:
If you really want to see how successful this campaign can be, there is really only one option and that is to #SetDoinkFree
If you want to see orders pour in by the truckload and get this entire campaign off the ground there is only one thing to do and that is to #ReleaseTheClown
Also, I heard a rumor from a very reliable source that for every person who goes to social media and posts under the hashtags of either #SetDoinkFree or #ReleaseTheClown that there is a buyer who will purchase a set for each new post with either of those hashtags. So let’s get 4,500 posts about #SetDoinkFree and #ReleaseTheClown directed at Mattel and see if this project really starts moving over the next two days.

Y’all need to give up on UE Doink. That figure ain’t getting made. Best you can hope for is him in the legends line with that jacket, 1 new head, and 3 wigs.

He's said this on every podcast he's done. It also looks like Robert did the podcast circuit today. I'm listening to the second of the potentially three interviews he's done. While on the Fig Cave Podcast Robert stated: - They chose the New Gen theme because of the affection collectors had for retros and wanting a lot of characters from that era and this arena fit cost for what they wanted to achieve.
- AE Raw, SD Fist or modern sets wouldn't have been cost effective, would've been massive and cost 2x as much for us, but he hopes people will have an appetite for those potential offerings.
- They didn't capitalize on the initial reaction and that was a mistake. He realizes they should've announced it and immediately put it up for sale.
- THEY HEAR US, THE MESSAGE HAS BEEN HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR. This offering is what it is, but they now know what we want as collectors, and what they can offer and at what price.
See, I don’t buy that line about a Raw is War or Smackdown fist stage being cost prohibitive unless they’re trying to do crazy stuff they don’t need to do. The K-Mart entrance stage and the mass release entrance stage were $50. If they designed it like a toy and didn’t add a bunch of gimmicks like lights and sounds and essentially made it like a larger version of the previous stages, it wouldn’t be so expensive. All they need to do is make it about double the size of the entrance stages they already released. Keep the tron area about the same size and make a cavity to put an iPad in it like with the last entrance stage they made. Raise the base off the ground more and a longer ramp. And don’t add any corny LED lights. I’d pay $150, $200 for that. The whole point of the ultimates line is to go above and beyond what's expected. I don't think Mattel would produce a cardboard entrance, say it's for collectors and meets their standards. The screen would also totally have to work because, yeah, that Ultimate’s goal they have.

I try to be an optimist but I also live in reality and this thing may limp to the finish line and get funded but it isn’t gonna get 4500 more backers and Mattel isn’t gonna add him to the main offering. That said, I’d be more than happy to eat those words and be proven wrong.

This whole thing is beginning to make me question how niche the adult wrestling collector market is. It seems almost all the high end collector geared lines Mattel has done for WWE have failed at retail. The original legends line, entrance greats, defining moments, epic moments all undersold and now this ring set is struggling. Maybe this is more niche than we've realized. This whole ordeal has really shown wrestling figure collectors true colors imo. At this point I get why Mattel and the elite team don't do the big things collectors beg for because a majority are all bark and no bite when it comes to put down money. I wouldn't blame them in the slightest if they never tried to do high end stuff again.

I think the stage/ring is super cool but don’t need it in my collection. Maybe if I had unlimited display space.

Hasn't Steve already said that the price is the lowest they can make it for the items/amount of backers though? I really don't think they'd be able to add another figure (for the 5K tier) as well... the only reason we'd get Doink at 7K backers is because of the extra money/budget the extra 2K backers would bring in. Heck, I'd love to be wrong and have Doink in with the 5K package... I just can't see it happening though. He's said this on every podcast he's done. It also looks like Robert did the podcast circuit today. I'm listening to the second of the potentially three interviews he's done. What that last part means is we know what you want and know that we probably can't and won't make it because you are too cheap.

That still doesn't stop people from constantly asking Steve when we are getting another scale ring. They probably just figured release a ring first with a cheaper entrance then if it works they can concentrate on bigger stages only with ways to customize the ring.

Just backed this. Really hoping it can be achieved because my elite new gen collection would look awesome with the stage as it’s back drop. Love the macho we may get but kinda wish diesel was in different gear. Maybe the silver/grey singlet top?
