1k in 12 hrs? Project could be reach the 5k thanks to scalpers (first time they do something good) LOL I don't think anyone buying this can be classed as a scalper. Even if they buy 10000. More accurate term would be Flipper. Scalping involves buying up the entire supply of something to create more scarcity and drive up costs. This is an open pre order, everyone has an equal opportunity to purchase as many as they want. Not the same kinda guy who goes into Target and buys up every legend and chase just to stick them on ebay by any stretch. If everyone has an equal opportunity, then who are going to buy the multiples you're all buying? It IS scalping if you buy with the intention to sell. |

I don’t really understand the benefit to doing that? I’m U.K. and the shipping is crazy cheap…we’ll get taxed when it arrives I suppose and not sure how much but that will be the same for the guy doing this plus his profit? Not knocking it, I want as many to back as possible and I want U.K. stores to do well and get more stock to give us all greater access to figures but for this that you can just get direct from Mattel with such great shipping costs, not quite sure why you wouldn’t just buy it direct? Anyway…whatever gets us that clown! #ReleaseTheClown Because many dont have a Creditcard or not the money right now Yeah, I just bought them direct myself, but he is doing a payment plan with a £50 deposit required then 4 more monthly payments. |

Ahh fair enough, if they’re providing alternative ways for people to pay which helps get more backed then that’s awesome! Yes! I hope the shop realy orders I'm assuming he will wait til as close to the Macho deadline as possible to put his order in. I'll try and find out his numbers. Bear in mind he is only 1 retailer. How many others will be doing the same thing and placing big orders today? |

If this hits 5000 by say 5pm ET, I imagine we see a rush not only from Macho fomo folks, but also all of the people who are waiting for it to be locked in before pledging at all. I strongly feel that there is a decent chance for Doink to hit before end of campaign.

I would love to get Doink and the ring skirts above any of the figures…but I’m content with just the entrance way and ring.

I think the rush today will get it past 5k, I'd guess 5,500ish. Then the last day will get it to 7k (nobody really cares about ring skirts, do they?)

Ugh....I went ahead and did it. Hopefully in a year this will be something that I actually want lol. The stage set is cool but I don't really need a New Gen Setup. The ring will be nice I suppose but I'm really hoping for those ring skirts (Which probably won't happen). I would LOVE that Doink but it isn't guaranteed. I don't really need the Macho Man or the announce table stuff.
But whatever, I got a bonus from work today that covered it and worst case scenario I'll just resell it next year if I really don't want it.
I do think we will hit the goal today though which is kind of shocking. If it is true that we are getting about 80-90 per hour then that number should increase considering the West Coast isn't even awake yet.

The ring is the least exciting part of this set imo, but the skirts at least give it a more iconic New Gen look without the WW logos all over it. If we can hit 7K, I would think it's possible Mattel just throws them in. That definitely isn't happening with a full figure, but with $3 of ring skirts, I would think it's a possibility. |

Most Ultimates are produced around 25k (apparently), and this campaign will get no where near that number so the resale value is going to be there regardless. So say we hit 8K and get everything, they're still super limited, and Macho will still be even more limited than the other parts. I expect numbers to dry up for the next week and then have one last pretty sizeable jump on the 22nd. |
