If the crowdfunder doesn't work out, could we still see the Diesel & Doink released in the future? Highly unlikely. We gotta make this happen guys. Amazing things are on the horizon if we succeed. There you go guys - Diesel and Doink go straight to prototype hell if this doesn't get backed. I really hope this succeeds!

Well then they should’ve done some research to see if there was a legit market in a new ring.
I bet that would’ve indicated that their first project being a wrestling ring probably wasn’t the best approach out of the gate.

I really believe if they went with an Attitude era theme instead of a New Generation theme this crowd funded project would no doubt be successful. New Gen is more niche than the Attitude era. I would have backed this if it included a cage and more accessories for the ring itself.

Their goal is to make as much profit as possible, while producing a product that’s enticing to the consumer. Value is subjective.

Just trying to explain that I believe people would be more enthusiastic to back the project if it Included more accessories or if it was an attitude era theme.

Really hope it picks up Glass half empty vs. glass half full. In two days it's had 16%. I feel like it'll come in waves as people get the money together, get paid, sell/replace, etc... Definitely not going to get 5,000 in a week.

It's been two days ya'll lol. Why are so many people already giving up on this? Because based on how crowd funded projects go, you get a massive boost at launch, it slows down in the middle, and then gets one more boost at the end. It starting off without the boost is not a good sign unfortunately. Of course it could be a result of them going the FIG route and taking the money up front instead of being like Kickstarter/Haslabs and doing so at the end, but because of that it has painted a very gloom picture for the potential success of the project.

Paying up front is probably the biggest issue for most, especially if it's not guaranteed to succeed. That's why Hasbro gets it right with Haslab.

I guarantee that even if you only get 2 you would be able to keep one and still make a profit on the 2nd hand market. If Bret/Warrior/Shawn ultimates are anything to go by then Diesel will be worth at least $150, an exclusive ring will probably be $400 minimum, and the stage could easily fetch $200. If Doink is added then you could throw another $150 on there. Basically you’d be getting a free ring, figures, stage and like $400-$500 I don't know the numbers, but I think you're spot on. I don't blame anyone for not committing, but there's no way this ring and its included figures aren't going to be worth the money it takes to get them. It's a large chunk, and for some it's too large, and some people don't resell, but this is certainly an investment opportunity if people want to look at it that way. That's why my only criticism of Mattel here is not having packaged images of Diesel and Doink. That would really cement you're getting UE figures that are gonna shoot up in value, not just a couple Elites. In a year or so, yeah they’ll be worth that. People aren’t willing to go through that trouble though of dropping 250 on an item that might not happen just so they can watch it double in value in a year. Money shouldn’t have been taken until it meet the required backers and closed.

It's been two days ya'll lol. Why are so many people already giving up on this? Well the theory is you're going to see the biggest bump in orders the first couple of days, because those are your hard-core guys who will always buy fast and first. As the days continue on, you'll see less and less buying in because if they were going to do so, they would have done it already. The fact that there wasn't as many "hard-core guy" purchases as expected out of the gate doesn't bode well for the remainder of the campaign.

I honestly don't see the issue with them taking money up front. If you were going to back it and put up the money anyways then what does it matter?

To be fair, what’s the point of having my $250 on hold for an item that may never get made? I get both sides. That’s what separates the “I’m way in” people vs. the ones who are on the fence… like myself.

If I can’t get the Sarge figure, I’m not gonna think about backing this. That was always my plan and I’m sticking to it. Good luck to you guys who want this, seems like it’s gonna be tough. And Doink is even farther away.
