I don't know if anyone else is in the same boat, but I got the shipping notice email a couple of weeks ago and nothing since. There's no tracking number, and $15 seems way too low to ship something that size internationally. Has anyone in the UK received theirs yet? someone did a couple or so pages back

To be honest dude, no one should care about appeasing resellers. Least of all Mattel. Their job is to provide the value to the consumer. The next (or any) crowdfund should be an idea that is popular enough to fund on its own by people who actually want it, not reliant on convincing people it’ll be worth something upon release. Or ever for that matter. Pictures of cardboard shipper boxes and completed listing on eBay aren’t selling the next crowdfund. You know what is? All those pictures of the set laid out with figures in the entrance and the ring. The testimonies of how happy people are to have it. The quality. That’s what’s really gonna sell people on the next thing. The reality of this set is that it almost didn’t get made. Macho got the set made and all the resellers you’re worried about got in purely for how rare they thought that figure would be. He probably will fetch a higher price than everything else in the set, but we’ll still have to see because it’s still 8k. If anything, resellers did it to themselves. They put this thing into “not rare enough” territory. Pretty much everyone who wanted this got it already, so there’s only going to be so many that will sell for what’s being asked right now. Maybe down the road it’ll go up again, but anyone wanting triple or more *right now* is probably going to be disappointed, and that has nothing to do with Mattel. If it wasn’t for resellers this would have never got made. Yeah, man, I said that. At this point though, so what? It’s made. The talking point basically boils down to “🥺 If this thing doesn’t increase in value immediately, the resellers won’t fund the next one 🥺” as if people are obligated to buy from them and overpay. This situation is entirely a “new Gen arena” problem, anyway. Hasbro only had a few crowd funding failures, but everything else funded like crazy. If the next WWE project is undeniably cool, it won’t need resellers to fund. If it sucks or isn’t worth the money, and the resellers buy enough to fund it, then that’s their problem. If the thing can’t fund at Mattel’s price, it’s kind of silly to think it’ll sell at an even higher price. SOME will, but not everyone is going to make that much.

I have to say landmark global is horrible. One of the slowest services I have ever experienced. That's 14.95 usd for you.

If it wasn’t for resellers this would have never got made. So be it. That’s how these things go. Marvel Legends has had both of theirs funded quickly. GI Joe funded in less than a day, if I’m not mistaken. Star Wars has been hit and miss, down to whether the customers determine if the product is worth it. Bottom line - if it’s worth it to consumers, then it’ll get funded. After this set, people will be more likely to support a WWE crowd fund because the first product is delivered and is largely received positively. Many people who thought it wasn’t worth the asking price (myself included) have had their minds changed by seeing the product in hand. If the next one fails, it’s not the fault of resellers who are mad about the New Gen arena.

I don't quite understand the disappointment about the market value. The sets are selling for an average of $400 right now and Macho isn't even a part of it. The market is now flooded with these sets, but that doesn't change the fact that there are only around 8,500 sets, which isn't much. Doink alone will have extremely high value.

Maybe we should see what the next crowd fund is before we bury the notion of it being funded due to how the secondary market currently looks.

Email Mattel Creations and they will give you a tracking number. I've been waiting nearly three weeks since it shipped, last update I got a week ago was that it had left Belgium.

For the people having a panic that the next crowdfunded project is going to fail, this first one was mostly a ring. Do you know how many people were in the comments going, “I’d like this, but I don’t need a ring. I already have a ring and/or don’t have room for it.” Well, the next project isn’t going to have a ring. Mattel said time and time again they weren’t going to crowd fund a ring. They were going to do something else. So quit setting your hair on fire until they announce the next project. Odds are it could be even more space consuming. That WCW Arena/RAW Arena, those things were way way bigger than a ring and would cost way more. Think a $250 ring was a tough sell because of cost and space? How's a $400 entrance going to go down? The dual problem of larger size and higher price would be particularly problematic. Individually those are significant issues, combined they're a really tough proposition.

Watching scalpers realize that this isn't a license to print money is truly heart warming.
Watching scalpers (the politically correct term is resellers) take credit for backing this is hilarious. People realized they were getting a ring, stage, and 2-3 Ultimates sold this project. Did the "resellers get a tier unlocked, maybe, but we won't need them moving forward.
This thing delivered and the goodwill alone is enough to fund the next project. Judging from the reaction to the SDCC teases of the 1998 Raw and Nitro stages, something people really want will be met with ferverous support.
The initial awkwardness of crowd funding and the wrestling community is over, it's smooth sailing now.
Don't worry about the "resellers" after fees and shipping costs, they will still make enough profit to buy a pizza 😋😂

This wasn’t an item where buying it to flip meant less available for a genuine fan. This is a situation where people buying it to flip means more people who missed out on it are able to buy it. Maybe they didn’t know about it at the time or didn’t have the money. Thanks to resellers, there are more on the secondary market. I missed out on Hasbro’s Sentinel. What are the odds Hasbro will rerelease the Sentinel down the line, even as a repaint? Probably slim.

Any idea if Fedex operates on the holidays? My order has been stuck on Label Creation in PA for 2 days. Wondering if I''ll see any movement tomorrow.

Now I am so I own 3 arenas 2 diesels and a doink 0 machos that's just how the cookie crumbles for me.

Mines still sitting there with no shipping info (U.K. based) anyone else in same boat? I’m the same - nothing except to say my order is on the way. Has anyone in the UK received theirs yet?
