Received a Parcelforce ransom letter today so paid the £63.50 and it'll be delivered tomorrow. After over a year of waiting it'll finally be here. I never even bothered to ask Mattel for the tracking information. It'll get here when it gets here. Unless it goes to Gambia for some odd reason. My ring has been in Gambia that long, its now a naturalised citizen with a passport to.

I still think it was a bad idea to mail it on a box with the name of the contents on the side.

The good news is that Gambia is the smallest country in Africa so it shouldn't take you as long.

Are you talking about the height of the Canvas off the ground? I instinctively assumed that the other chap meant the top rope height. I never even thought about the height of the canvas/ring base. Yeah, I’m talking about the height of the ring skirt area. Someone already posted a picture a couple weeks ago comparing the posts of the ESR, ASR, snd this ring. This ring appears to have the same posts as the ESR, but the hoops the turnbuckle hooks onto seem to be a few millimeters higher than the ESR posts. Probably was me. I compared the posts of the ESR/ASR/NGR. Posts are 100% the same as the ESR. The cause of the higher top rope height is in the base itself, where the posts plug into the corners of the frame. The way the posts seat is literally 0.5cm higher than the ESR/ASR. The best way to correct it is to add 0.5cm thick foamboard over the "wood," then layer the ring "canvas" over it. That will make the ring mat/rope proper height, and correct the ringskirt height error, where the top of the ringskirt hangs above the ring mat by 0.5cm.

I finally finished putting my ring together last night. It took a lot of extra time as I was swapping the turnbuckle pads from the Jakks RSR as well as a couple of ring skirts. I had a hell of a time with the skirts. The posts are hard to remove and feel like they could break. The elastic on the Jakks skirts is inconsistent so they don’t always fit over the post either. I like the idea of the boards on the ring but they make the ring feel very unstable when moving it around. Overall it looks nice but there are a handful of things that I would have liked to have seen changed prior to the release. Speaking of….any updates on Macho? I feel terrible for the guy I sold my figures to because he has been waiting for weeks now to get his stuff. I’ve been pulling posts out of rings for years and years. Haven’t broken one yet. This ring has the same posts and mechanism as the old Mattel Elite Scale Ring. WCT’s Authentic Scale Ring is a modified version and I’ve yanked those put dozens of times. It takes some power and finesse to yank them out, but if you’re careful, I don’t think they will break. However, if you’re looking to change skirts frequently, I stopped pushing the posts in all the way on my older rings. The posts are deep enough to not be pulled out by the ropes, and it allows me to change skirts quickly from the bottom of the posts without removing the ropes and turnbuckles. I don’t know if that will work on the New Gen ring, but you can give it a try. It worked on the Elite Scale Ring, so it should work on the New Gen.

For anyone in the UK who contacted Mattel for tracking - Who did you contact? How long did it take for a response?
Haven’t heard anything and it’s been over a week now. I’m really starting to get worried my ring has been lost. 😅

I have many, many rings in my collection and have owned an absurd variety/amount over the years. These ones seem a bit brittle/easy to scuff. The breaking point for posts is usually pretty easy to find and these were reaching that point. I also have fat hands so that could play a part in it. As far as the ring skirts go, I probably won’t change any out unless they make an old school survivor series and/or SummerSlam. I was thinking of trying to get my WCT SummerSlam skirt to work with the ring by strategically tucking one side and rigging it to stay but I think it would just look messy. For now, I’ve opted to use the New Gen Blue, New Gen Wrestlemania, Jakks Wrestlemania, and Jakks Royal Rumble. Kind of like the old Monster Ring, I wanted to rotate it seasonally.

So I got the ring from a seller on eBay for just over $100 shipped, which is truly incredible, and just got it today. Finally put it together and I have to say it’s definitely my favorite ring. At least until they release a more modern ring with this tooling. Really appreciate how easily it goes together, which also means it should come apart without much hassle and store away easily.
I made sure to put some 5mm thick foam under the canvas, which definitely helps the rope height. It’s hard to say either the height from mat to top rope OR the height from ground floor to mat are too high because it depends on who is standing next to it. It’s less a fault of the ring itself and more a fault with the scaling of the figures themselves. I’m sure we all know that some guys are shorter or taller than they should be, so that will definitely have some visual effect.
Either way, I’m stoked to have this and looking forward to at least one more in the future. If the person who sold it to me is here on the boards, thank again! And also, thanks for the crowd backdrops!

Looking at my account, there's a "fulfilment status" next to my address which has the status as "Fulfilled". I'm definitely starting to think my arena has been lost.

I have a new tracking label through FedEx with Mattel. Assuming it’s Macho. I’m wondering if they’re sending everyone’s quantities as a single shipment to save on cost
The box dimensions seem big enough but the weight is 2.1 lbs so it’s hard to say

They finally sent me tracking for retros (Which hasn't left the US in two weeks) but don't have tracking for the ring which was dispatched a month ago - Mattel said it could take 6 weeks to arrive.
If after 6 weeks it hasn't arrived not sure where to go from here as Mattel are awful to contact. I've closed down the card I used to pay for it so can't claim as non received goods either.
This whole thing has been so poorly managed by Mattel and there is no way I would ever support another creations concept because Of the terrible customer service.

Can you not just do what they do in real life, and put a skirt on top of a skirt? Then just 'flip' the front one behind the back one to change it? My ring hasn't been used in a long time (just dug it out of storage), so it's very loose and worn, but like what I did here (SmackDown! behind RAW) Or is there a reason that wouldn't work on this ring?

I think it would require cutting it…otherwise it would be difficult to hide the other 3 sides of the skirt. I did not do any cutting whatsoever. I just stitched to the center of the ringskirt, and at the corners

Kinda unrelated but after seeing the new Haslab Ghost Rider, I'm really glad this thing got made for as cheap as it did.
