Everyone at Mattel is on crack if they think I’m gonna drop $250+ on an entrance stage and ring (which they STILL have not revealed the dimensions for) with inaccurate logos along with a Diesel figure that they have only shown a shi**y, hand-painted prototype for.
Once again, and it’s really getting annoying, Mattel is behind the 8-Ball when it comes to following the trends. They’ve obviously seen the success that Hasbro has had with crowd funding. Rather than adopt a business model that works for themselves, they simply copy what Hasbro has done yet with a subpar product. Mattel still doesn’t have double jointed elbows on Elites for god sake while every other company producing $20-$22 figures does! I know they working on updating Elite articulation but it’s too late - should’ve happened years ago.

Im very excited about this as last year i was trying to modify my own ring with wooden planks. plastic just doesn't sound right. but i NEED to know the dimensions first. with the 22" ESR and the 20" RSR being so massive, id really hope this is closer to RSR or smaller even (18" would be ideal personally)

Confused me for a second. I thought you were saying it officially hit 5,000 and was going to be quite surprised at the speed, but I assume you mean you put in for it. |

Very slow start. I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and check the numbers after this weekend. If they aren’t at least 1,000 by Monday then I don’t see this thing hitting its mark. The Slaughter drop really upset a lot of potential backers who aren’t gonna shell out 250 after watching an item go out of stock when they put in all their card information after being forced to sit in a queue.

I wan this to succeed. I know it just went live today. As of 4:35 central time it has 639 backers out of 5000 needed. After a week Marvel Legends Galactus has 8,707 backers out of 14,000 needed. I know it's not the same, but I wanna see where this is by next Friday.

The Slaughter selling out should have absolutely nothing to do with this item getting backed or not. It would be ridiculous if someone doesn't back it just out of spite. I am not backing the item, but that is because it is too expensive and I am not interested in an Ultimate Diesel. This can't "sell out," so there is no reason that the Slaughter affects this. |

Are the Diesel and Doink figures exclusive to this set only or will they be released individually later on? I also want pictures of the packaging as I collect moc.

There's basically zero reason to commit early, since Mattel is basically going to sit on the money for a month. |

I wouldn't mind it, but $250 seems a bit steep. And a Diesel figure, of which I already have a few and they all look pretty similar, isn't going to sway me. And no, neither will a freaking Doink.

They would have a lot more backers right now if the were not pulling money once you check out, but waiting until it the cutoff date. You know like every other Kickstarter and crowdfund project
