Everyone at Mattel is on crack if they think I’m gonna drop $250+ on an entrance stage and ring (which they STILL have not revealed the dimensions for) with inaccurate logos along with a Diesel figure that they have only shown a shi**y, hand-painted prototype for. Once again, and it’s really getting annoying, Mattel is behind the 8-Ball when it comes to following the trends. They’ve obviously seen the success that Hasbro has had with crowd funding. Rather than adopt a business model that works for themselves, they simply copy what Hasbro has done yet with a subpar product. Mattel still doesn’t have double jointed elbows on Elites for god sake while every other company producing $20-$22 figures does! I know they working on updating Elite articulation but it’s too late - should’ve happened years ago. my thoughts exactly

I put my money where my mouth is. I hope you guys do too. I at no point asked for this, so if it doesn’t get the backers required then it won’t be my fault. Provide more value and worth and you’ll get more backers.

For $300 they probably should have went with a Jeff Jarrett ultimate and a Bastion Booger elite instead of wrestlers we already have. Just my opinion

1000% this would have a ton more backers if they didn't take the money until after the campaign ended *if successful*

I backed it, even though I'm not overall thrilled. I want to support new ideas like this and hopefully make way for future ones. But NGL kinda psyched about the neon entrance way, and the grumpy Doink scan lol

They dropped the ball with the Slaughter release, and then asked people to hand over 250 dollars for something that might not even get backed, which no other company does.

I’ll never understand the “I guess Mattel doesn’t want my money” or the “they should have made it something I want.” people. Act like Mattel has a vendetta against you or something.
I want it so I’m going to back it. Those that don’t want it, don’t back it. Seems simple.

Very slow start. I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and check the numbers after this weekend. If they aren’t at least 1,000 by Monday then I don’t see this thing hitting its mark. The Slaughter drop really upset a lot of potential backers who aren’t gonna shell out 250 after watching an item go out of stock when they put in all their card information after being forced to sit in a queue. The Slaughter selling out should have absolutely nothing to do with this item getting backed or not. It would be ridiculous if someone doesn't back it just out of spite. I am not backing the item, but that is because it is too expensive and I am not interested in an Ultimate Diesel. This can't "sell out," so there is no reason that the Slaughter affects this. I’m not saying it’s right, but I’ve seen plenty of people say they aren’t backing this due to the lack of remorse over how poorly the Slaughter drop went.

As it should be, the only way to voice your concerns and frustrations is keep your dollars. The tone deafness by the heads of this thing has spurned a lot of people. Today’s releases have been mild to say the least. I mean, for me, the Camo Cole being the chase just tells me they mildly hear collectors, and only begrudgingly in my opinion. Having this crowd fund blow up in their face when HasLab is going to really do well and other crowd funded projects might wake them up to this or simply draw battle lines. Who knows?

I’m sitting here wanting to give Mattel money for 3 Scott Halls and 3 Kevin Nash’s and a Billy Gunn and it’s completely a failure on multiple levels. They might not have a vendetta, but they have a lot of incompetence on many levels in their company and their retail partners, specifically the the red circle company.

Personally, I gotta have that Slaughter. And unfortunately, that means my money is going to eBay scalpers instead of the Retro Ring. I don't like it, but unless they make more Slaughters available, or I can somehow find one for a reasonable price, that's how it's shaking down for me. That’s not how crowdfunding works. Many people on this board called for a crowdfunding project exactly like this since in the past when we begged Mattel to make something and they did, the same people who begged didn’t actually purchase the thing they pleaded for.

It really makes me wonder how many of the dollars spent on high-demand figures go to Mattel vs. re-sellers. It's really a simple economic issue that would resolve in Mattel's/consumer's favor by adjusting supply, or pricing.

Question was did people want the Next Gen Arena and two figures that have multiple elites? Not being sarcastic, asking honestly? Should there have been a vote? I would have paid $250 for a Nitro arena and a Luger and another WCW figure. Different wants though.

I’m really on the fence with this. I’m a loose collector with almost no room to display much let alone this. I do like the entrance stage though. The ultimates don’t really do anything for me. Had they been some elites that I’ve wanted I might be more likely to order.
