To those few of us that enjoy the hardcore stylings, what is everyone thinking about the new FMW and XPW? I believe FMW had one show already, and it sounded awesome with exploding stuff done correctly, but mixed some comedy in too. XPW's reboot sounds cool, if it actually gets off the ground. Rob Black is still running things, which is, well, interesting.....man has a creative mind, but that is my only positive for him. But, the headline is that the XPW tourney is probably featuring Marty Scurll. Black is known for controversy, so it makes sense (even though he denied MS as a participant), but whom else could fill out the card? Most oldschool XPW alum don't want anything to do with RB involved stuff. Can't say I blame them. Will Kloss be on commentary? Will it even be west coast with the new XPW restaurant opening on the east coast?
I look forward to some spirited convo from yall on this. The 90s/2ks are rising like a phoenix from the ashes. Bring on Blockbuster!

I am almost finished watching ep 1 of the new xpw tv. There is some good and some bad.
Good:The chemistry between RB and Kleinrock & Kloss is still there. The odd captivating sense of the tv narrative style is still there, including some of the sound effects of yesteryear. And as bad as he is as a person, Rob Black still has "something"; I don't know if it is the "it," or what, but it is there as a character. He didn't change much at all, for what it is worth.
Bad: The Star Wars, opening, is not good. The disrespect of the deceased wrestlers of XPW. That is going to rub a lot of people wrong, even if it is Rob's "character". The Black Army are the good guys now....what? I haven't seen any wrestlers from the OG willing to be apart of it. RB keeps taking shots at the other XPW revivals/reunions, that were well received and enjoyed by the fans and og wrestlers. Seems to be East Coast based, but still doing West Coast shows....it looses charm without California.
We shall see how this all unfolds. I will be watching, hopefully weekly. I enjoyed XPW back in the day, unashamedly, and maybe it is nostalgia, but this has a little spark. Plus, given the recent goings on with closure of ROH, it may help get some people paid, even though it is by RB. If he got his act together, and I mean, he does feature his child, so maybe, just maybe, this could be something, though there is a lot that just cannot be forgotten.
