I watched Wrestlemania 21 at a local theater and it was one of my favorite experiences.

I always wanted to do this as a kid but it wasn’t easy getting a ticket back then when the business was mega hot

Yeah, this is nothing new. Not sure how often it’s done over the years, but it’s definitely a thing.

"Copying AEW" LOL
I've watched a few of the more recent WrestleManias at our local chain of theater/restaurant hybrids. It's always a lot of fun. We watched 31 and 33 there, and I want to say a SummerSlam or two...definitely the one where Seth was in the white and gold outfit.
Back when we had a Hooters in town, a friend and I caught almost every PPV at the time there. All you had to do was buy food.

I saw TNA Lockdown 2012 in a theatre. Was able to send in my ticket stub for a free event shirt. Good times.

Pretty sure that was one of the ways you were able to watch the first WrestleMania.

I remember going to B-Dubs for a night of food and beers for PPVs with my best friend. It's just something we did from 2002-2010. I don't know why we stopped. Funny thing, I still ordered the PPV at home so I could record it on VHS (and I later converted them to DVD)

Pretty sure that was one of the ways you were able to watch the first WrestleMania. I watched WrestleManias 4, 5, & 6 like this.
