Eh, I'm fine with it, especially if that means more New Gen randos like Waylon Mercy or Duke "The Dumpster" Droese. I'm not even sure who the holy grail First-in-the-lines are for Mattel anymore. Owen? Tall order. Personally I'd love to see Ahmed Johnson and Al Snow. The other missing FTITLs are undercard guys like Gangrel, Adam Bomb, Crush, etc. - all guys I'd love to see, but The Goon isn't that far below them. And he's toyetic AF lol. A lot of collectors go back to years prior to new generation so ftitl like koko b ware, genius, Zeus, Dino Bravo, Hercules, barbarian, bad news brown, captain lou, Jesse the body, etc are still high up there on the ftitl request lists. I would love any/all of those guys... especially Ventura. Actually, I'm really surprised Jesse hasn't had a figure in 10+ years of Mattel... is he in WWE's bad books or something? |

New Generation is definitely my preferred time period but I think it would be a bad move to focus solely on that era when producing these exclusives. As said, a lot of fans collect from the Golden Era or Ruthless Aggression Era only, so it would make sense to be inclusive of those time periods.
That being said, I always look forward to the reveals at Comic-Con. I have everything crossed that the big reveal isn't The Goon.

Goon and Strongbow are unexpected but I wouldn’t say shocking. To me shocking would be Steiners, Haku, Barbarian, Mr Fugi, Slick….

I would have done a BAF elite series with all Canadian wrestlers (Hart, Trish, Canadian Earthquake, Edge etc) all in their Canadian gear and have the BAF be The Goon

Then I'll have to decide whether to watch the video first or come to the boards and read all the complaining before I watch the video. |
