I'll be getting both.
Kane is damn near perfect.
But i can't get past how disappointing Undertaker came out. I was hoping he'd have the side part hairstyle that his BCA figures had and yes, old man Taker face on 98 era Taker is a bust.

When did Taker start wearing mma gloves? Not 1998? Good talk. He never wore MMA gloves in 1997, 1998, or 1999. Mattel just got lazy on retooling inter changeable bikey gloves so used existing hands from his boneyard elite. |

Mattel just got lazy on retooling inter changeable bikey gloves so used existing hands from his boneyard elite. Yeah he did wear the short black leather gloves back then, but here, Mattel just said "yeah, good enough." "Ultimate" heh. Also, not specific to Taker, but what's with the oversized elbow/knee pads that Mattel uses? They're practically sleeves... |

Kane is amazing & will certainly be a new addition to my collection, it’d be cool if his box matches the figure sorta like the way the Taker as Kane exclusive does….Undertaker will be a hard pass, it looks ok except for the MJ head mentioned before but I have the Taker figures I need already….plus between the BOD I’ve always preferred & been a bigger fan of Kane

I could be wrong, but I was listening to the video with Steve and Bill and it sounded like Bill said that the only head that works with the jacket/cloak on is the one head that looks like Michael Jackson. They had to specially mold the hair for that Taker to fit on correctly. The other two heads have the hair down the back which looks like it won't work with the jacket/cloak on. Shame, as that head is the worst of the three.

My opinions... Kane Pros: Cape is amazing, shine on the boots, "molded" belt, the details are amazing. This is THE perfect Attitude Era Kane, they will never top this. Cons: 2nd head is pointless, hope he has different hands, "C-cups" don't fit this figures needs, I really hope forgetting the details in the belt are a mistake. His torso is too muscular, needs to be "beefier" Undertaker Pros: Beautiful details. Love 3 different expressions for the heads, I think the cloak is a combo of plastic and cloth? if so, thats nicely done because it wont sacrifice too many details but still seem like a better item. Love that he comes with the thumb hand and a flat palm Cons: 2 of the 3 scans look too modern, true-fx just doesn't work here, I'm pretty sure they are both re-used heads which doesnt fit the era, and the one that does looks off. Having both the wide C hands and the regular C hands is silly and a waste. You’re definitely right. That is the perfect attitude era kane, I think the 2nd head is awesome tho it just looks to perfect. And yeah those taker heads look too modern, I wonder if they added the tear drop if that would’ve helped at all |

Bill did mention the Taker was the first prototype, so they may refine it some more.

As I'm only interested in buying taker here's my take (no pun intended)
1. Robe looks great
2. 2/3 heads are fine
3. Eyebrows are look like drawn on eye brows in real life
4. Michael Jackson face
5. No chest is...esh
I don't think Mattel has EVER nailed the 98 look of taker.
I think the only one they've done thus far other than this is the Summer Slam basic

The taker is the one we’ve all been waiting on. I’ll definitely get it, but I’d love them to fix the heads. It needs a teardrop IMO and yeah to look a bit younger.
Kane is dope, but with HoC and early elite it’s tough to get a 3rd. Plus I have taker as Kane too. On the fence.

Here's why Mattel keeps does this... The long awaited 98 Undertaker... 1) HORRIBLE default scan 2) The other two are old man Taker and one of them has a gimmick he didn't debut until years after 3) MMA gloves 4) Top heavy, painful to look at torso Yet all of us complaining will still buy it. So why would Mattel change? They're like the Burger King of action figures. They could have the best product, but they  it up and have terrible service. Yet they turn just enough of a profit not to change. Meanwhile, Hasbro is Chick-Fil-A. They're just better. I love you. |

Kane looks great, but I’ll probably pass. I have the RSC & don’t care about the double sleeve, so it’s fine with me.
Taker, I’m disappointed with the heads. I actually think the head on the new basic shown looks better than the other 3. His torso looks WAY too thick compared to his stomach. Luckily, I’ll keep the coat on him to cover that up. This is the Taker I’ve been holding out for and will purchase, but I just wish the heads looked more 98ish.

Really hope they have time to go back and re-do all the heads to be honest because even if we put one of the other two on, they’re better than MJ head but they are inaccurate for that timeframe and the event in particular they’re going for. |

Mattel and Jakks collaborated on that Taker. You’ve gotta give it to them for reaching out to Jakks. No way Mattel nails that Taker likeness without them. The Michael Jackson head scan is spot on, the MMA gloves are a great call back to 1998, and it’s a steal for the $30 price point. I’m a bit disappointed it didn’t come with a mop or cd stand like the Jakks of old, but it is what it is.
