What is the best/closest ring attire date on these? Circa 1997 for both?

I'm confident there will be changes to these prototype images. I hope they don't change too much about Kane, since he's damn near perfect as-is. The belt I'm positive will change. There's no way they'd ship that...well, mostly no way they'd ship that lol But I want to see his facial hair added to his chin. Then it will be perfect I'm usually not a stickler for details, but yeah some facial hair on Kane's chin is really long overdue and needed here.

I still can't believe how that head designer is proud of this undertaker figure. I mean what the heck? I usually don’t have complaints about figures and think people nitpick the hell out of things. But I am stunned at this one. All three heads are terrible.

There just isnt a good headscan from this era. I ended up using the basic then now forever head with lighter hair and the elite network undertaker body. Worked ok

That’s what I’m wondering. My assumption was these are just in the early stages and it will be painted, hopefully have the blue strap too since that’s the version he won. But now I’m starting to wonder if that isn’t the case, surely they can’t release it blank like it is in an ultimate line. Hopefully they confirm it was just an early sample. I'm thinking it's an early test shot. If you look closely at some of the joints on both Kane and Taker, you can see little pegs typical of prototypes. Same with the pegs in Taker's hands.
I think we'll see a few changes here and there before we get final shots. RSC just put up what they got around SDCC.
Yeah that was my working assumption given those pins which is usually early stages only. We’ll have to wait and see.

Worked ok They should have used the first Defining Moments head sculpt and just altered the hair. WM 14 Shawn and the first DM Undertaker are by far their best face sculpts and neither have been used more than once. Ridiculous. I love you.

The thing is the hair on the cloaked Taker head is spot on, if you put it on another head it'd probably look fantastic. Might be something worth looking into once I get this guy in hand (Assuming things aren't adjusted in the meantime).
Still never got why they never retooled the HBK head, the likeness is far and away the best they ever did (Early 90s HBK a close second).

I don’t get why Mattel never reused the SDCC/2nd DM Undertaker gloves. Even the Summerslam ‘98 Taker got the MMA gloves despite having a completely new torso.

What is the best/closest ring attire date on these? Circa 1997 for both? I think Kane is a mash-up, from his wrestling match debut in 1997 (attire and cape) and from when he beat Austin for the title in 1998 (belt and voice box). The debut picture does kind of look like MSG, but I'm not sure of that. If it is his MSG debut, the only time Kane appeared at MSG in 1997 was on November 15, 1997.
